Hey guys,

Is it normal for the boat to make a "groaning" noise when in the process of making sharp turns?? I heard a few of these the other day and haven't noticed it before. Any thoughts?? It sounds like it is coming from right beneath the boat.

How old is your cable?

I would look toward the drive train, u joints, coupler, pump bearings ect.
Sharp turning may be shifting your mounts and putting something in a bind. JMO

Does it groan with the motor off, turning, or only while running the boat? That should tell you if it's the cable or not.

I notice the groan while making sharp turns while boat is cruising. No noise is made when motor is off. Seems more noticeable when making the the turns with diverter pointed up.
