I worked at Sundown marine in Huntington Beach in 1988 for Bob Long as one of his mechanics
it was quite an interesting experience,anyone remember Sundown marine? Before that I was the Mechanic @ Irvine lake for most of the 80’s

My dad worked there in 1980 for a short time. It was just about his last stop before getting out of the boat biz.
He also had some stories, not all of them good.

Hi Paul. I have alot of tales to tell but that was because my father owned Huntington Beach Auto Supply wear I worked for many years. We used to sell Auto Parts to Bob and most of the crew that worked for Bob. That was years ago and I don't feel the need to spread tales good and bad. Mark

Wasn’t trying to get into the bad. But in those days there was a lot of stuff happening and from what I understand there were plenty of fun and funny stories as well.

Just came across this thread. Knew Bob and Brian back in the day, just after they left LAPD Homicide and opened Sundown... and when Teborg was rigging. Bought (3) Sangers (1) Scheiada over the years. Almost flipped the flatbottom on Castaic... maiden voyage. 700 hp gas carborated... sold it back to Sundown for a daycruiser. Last, went to some of Bob's races... and parties at his house... oh man!
