I've been waiting for you 6 or 7 hard ass Republicans here to post something about the new tax plan. What's the problem?

Trump getting a $11-15 million raise per year with the new plan. Top 1% getting 67% of the money now and 83% of the money 10 years from now.

This is what happens when we as citizens keep electing the top money earners to office. Honestly I don't have a good answer on how to change this. Money talks so how do we get it done?

My political views fall in between the 2 party's. This was the 1st time being able to vote for President in 36 years I could not in good conscience pick the lesser of 2 evils. They both suck & the worst choice won.

Simple tax plan: 1st $50k for everyone, 0%. Ramp up percentages of money made over $50k to $500k then everything over $500k at 40%. Same for all.

No way this happens, top 1% in control due to who we elect. Now what? No really, now what?

P.S. If you can't write a proper sentence or spell then who's going to pay attention to you?

Here's a news flash. The rich are going to be rich. Money is out there, go figure out how to get it. I haven't been arsed to look how this is going to effect me business or personal wise, but I'm pretty damn well sure it's gonna be better than that watermelon covered in razor blades I got shoved up my ass by Ogoat fucker.

Like I stated "If you cannot write a complete sentence or spell correctly who's going to pay attention?"

This is about a tax plan that makes sense for every citizen in our country. Why not a tax plan that treats everyone equally?

Making money is not the issue. There's plenty for anyone with the intelligence to go after it.

What you fail to realize is that having a tax code is the only way both side of our congress can reward their friends. If you don't think the democrats do this, you're highly mistaken.
Case in point Democratic senator from Colorado puts in a tax exemption for any sheep ranch above a certain elevation. it only affected one ranch, his neighbors.
This goes on for all friends, donors, and businesses in their district.
The right way to do it is to impose a three tiered flat tax or a consumption tax. But neither side wants that!

To start, I am a conservative Independent. You mentioned you fall in between the 2 party's. Do you believe in the capitalist system we have had in our country since the founding? You give me the impression you are a Socialist.

Currently about 40% of the people do not pay any federal income tax, yet they get a tax refund, and even more under the new bill.

Under this bill, every one gets a lower tax rate. You better do your own research and not listen to the MSM.

The most important purpose of the bill, the corporate tax rate, is to grow the economy. Put more people to work, and have them pay taxes, like everyone else with a job.

Never stated the Democrats don't do this. Both sides are the problem.

You need to do more research. Laziness will get you no where, and you will remain ignorant. Since you are bent on remaining so, you are not worthy of my time.

Then perhaps you should have voted......w/o voting.....nothing will ever change.....And IMO, w/o voting, you actually are in no position to complain. ;)

It really isn't that hard to understand. Less taxes, companies moving back here to produce products, lowering unemployment. Not only does this relieve money going to unemployment, etc, it turns them into tax payers.

Exactly. :))THumbsUp

If you expected intelligent replies from most of these guys, you just haven't been reading this forum.

One makes the observant comment that, "The rich are going to be rich." It seems he is defending this new tax plan regardless of how unfair or absurd it is.

Another says the Democrats do it also, and gives one example, but with no details for his example. So I guess in his mind it's Ok if the Republicans shove this blatantly unfair tax bill down everyones throat even though 2/3 of the population objected. While the Democrats are not perfect, I don't recall them ever passing a bill where 2/3 of the population thought their bill was not fair or just outright a bad bill.

Another said, "40% of the people do not pay any federal income tax, yet they get a tax refund, and even more under the new bill." The truth is, 40% of the people who do not pay federal income tax do not get a tax refund. Many of those who do, get it as a result of the, Earned Income Credit (EIC) and was a provision of the Tax Reduction Act of 1975, introduced by Republican President Gerald Ford.
He also seems to think that you appear to be a socialist for some reason because you fall between the two parties. I'd really like to have that explained.
It sounds as though they think a true Capitalistic society is actually good. For anyone that does, they don't understand history and the nature of True Capitalism and certainly doesn't understand there needs to be a balance. That would be somewhere in the middle.

Then you have, "You need to do more research. Laziness will get you no where, and you will remain ignorant." With comments or replies like that, it's a waste of his time and your time.

According to the Republicans who passed this bill, the lost income from the income tax will somehow be made up by increased production. It didn't work under Regan and there won't be that many jobs created. Even the CEO's say they will buy back their stock and pay bonuses. In the mean time, there will be less money for roads or waterways and security anywhere.

Remember this bill came from Trump, who said he didn't pay taxes because he was smart during the campaign and later said his tax plan would actually cost him a lot, but now that the bill is law, it appears he will benefit by the millions. Even the millions doesn't account for the inheritance tax he will be exempt from.

Those who expressed concerns or disapproval of your comment pretty much fall into that category of, "P.S. If you can't write a proper sentence or spell then who's going to pay attention to you?"

As usual JP interrupts a truthful statement in his own way. If the 40% in my statement get a refund based on taxes they did not pay in first place, (it isn't so) because Ford inacted a special act. Stupidity never stops with some people. All it is dumbass, it federal welfare.

I do fail to comprehend your logic and continued excuse of the Republican Party when it's obvious who they provided tax cuts for. I doubt your tax cut is on par with the 1% group, and yours will go away.

Then there are the those bonuses that will be paid which will go to the top decision makers, and by what you've said and written, you are not in that grouping. If you understood how it works, maybe you'd feel different from how you do. Think of this way, there are those who feel they won when they get a $100.00 bonus, while the top get $500,000 or $1,000,000 and feel they should have received more. So, enjoy your $100. The top people get rewarded by what they can deliver to the owners/stockholder. They do not get rewarded/bonuses for paying employees.

In case you haven't noticed, what the Republicans are giddy about is passing something/anything. While some reform could have been a good thing for many, that isn't what was done and they don't care.

You've indicated a three tiered flat tax being acceptable or a consumption tax being acceptable. There is a very logical reason why those aren't economically logical, but without logic, you wouldn't understand.

When you say, "Ford inacted a special act" I don't know if you are agreeing or arguing the point, because I had already pointed out, "Earned Income Credit (EIC) and was a provision of the Tax Reduction Act of 1975, introduced by Republican President Gerald Ford.

Did you say, "40% of the people do not pay any federal income tax, yet they get a tax refund, and even more under the new bill" ? I believe you did.
Are you still saying 40% of the people get a refund and don't pay any Federal Tax?
That isn't true.

You say, "It isn't so," but fail to say what isn't so.
Before you go blaming others for your poor and inaccurate writing, try writing what is truthful and accurate. Before you call names try being correct yourself. No one, including me said it was't Federal Welfare. Whether it was welfare or not wasn't in the conversation.

What part of, "P.S. If you can't write a proper sentence or spell then who's going to pay attention to you?" did you not understand?
