Unemployment rates rose in nearly all large U.S. cities in June as college graduates and many of those still in school began searching for jobs. The Labor Department said Tuesday that unemployment rates rose in 347 large metro areas in June compared with the previous month. They fell in 12 and were unchanged in 13. In May, rates fell in 109 cities and rose in 243.

i would say more like 18-22 % , many have max'd out benefits and have dropped off the stats . but still not working , it would help explain the rise in welfare recipients ! JMHO .

I'm guessing it is more in the 20-255 range based on that information

The % number also does not include people like collage and high school grads that are looking for jobs, but never had one.

The unemployment number does not reflect people that are under employed, those working part time.
Underemployment is the new normal. Obama and 52% of the country has seen to that. 20 years from now Detroit bankruptcies will be common. the liberals will be collecting 75% form the wealthy who haven't moved their money to China, and riots from those who grew up on the dole will be a common sight. All of this thanks to wage stagnation brought on by Socialist policies that the majority of the country seems to approve of.

Just look at Obamacare. 69% of the country supports it. How can this be? Simple, when ask if we should defund Obamacare only 31% agree. That means 69% want socialized medicine. 69% of Americans are fucking stupid. Amazing how the country changed in 40 years.

I would just like to add as a point that the underemployed section of society has added to our our payrolls in great numbers over the last few months. Men and women alike seeking any type of employment to not have to be on the list of unemployed have helped us out. They are the willing and able who feel the need to contribute what they can no questions asked. I give as much respect to them as any tenured employee we have. I welcome and embrace their contributions. Any company at this time who does not seek new employees to shore up a strong and beneficial relationship with fresh opportunity is wasting a precious resource.

Don't worry. It will go back down when they become discouraged and stop actively seeking employment. :)sphss
