That's because what they didn't tell you about the jobs numbers was the fact that most of those added were part time to supplement the hours cut from full time to part time because of government regulations. So workers hour remains stagnant.

Thanks to inept leadership, we now have more people on food stamps than fully employed in this country. His plan to destroy our nation is ahead of schedule and the sheep are still grazing on whats left of the grass in the last pasture.

As if anyone with a LICK of sense listens to one word of the "jobs report"... :D


P.S. I sold YESTERDAY... UP 35% ytd, now what to do...??? :hmmm:

Do what I do. I buy land. They aren't making any more of it and when the market pukes, you can still walk to all four corners of your holdings with deed in hand. With stocks, you hold useless paper. Ask me how I know.

Until under the NDAA they seize your land.

Invest in lead, brass, and copper!!!!

None of those three can provide me with shelter, grow food or provide protection. I'll stick with land ownership.

Nothing wrong with this concept. I practice it myself, but this purchase needs to be specific.

Where your land is to be bought is of great concern though. Land out in the middle of the desert is useless. Land with no trees is also not really a big help. Land with no prospects of game or water also falls a little short. Good land is not as easy/accessible to purchase these days. Land must be productive in the end.

I know more than a few people who bought and sold at a loss useless land.

Im good in the land dept for now, although I do want to pick up a 1/4 1/4 section on Bull Shoals Lake...

I have the metals/elements Wolfie mentioned coverd as well as the tool steel required to make them work :)violent44 AND a few other precious metals to boot...


I think that DOC and our own Uncle Dave has some GREEEEEEEEEAT ideas on survival that we ALL need to take seriously and make some investment into... Photo Voltaics/water supply - purification devices/alternative currency/home defense/food...

Which takes us back to the "be prepared/survival" discussion... Which is a GREAT ONE!!!


Back on track... The jobs reports are a JOKE and even the SoCal media knows it is all smoke and mirrors, I saw it discussed openly on the news almost daily over the last month in Cali... YET the majority would "do it all over again" and put the same loosers back in office... :(

Me too! However, you have to buy right! I do kinda like the idea of getting a cap rate though from homes or multi-unit.

Buying land in outlying areas is kinda like buying stocks, but you have to pay taxes on it (at least before 5 years). Usually, the land will not be useable during your lifetime, but you can buy it during times that no one wants it and sell during the good times for a profit. Also, I know many Chinese buyers that will purchase land, not for themselves, but for their great great great grandchildren. As a realtor that mostly sold REO for the last four years, I was amazed by the ethnics that purchased. Very few Caucasians were buying. Mostly I was selling to Chinese, Indian, and Arabic's. Causation and Mexican was the primarily people who were being removed from those properties. Pretty sad!

And everyone seems to have forgotten that O used an EO to remove the work requirement for those on welfare. Effectivly removing 100,000's if not in the millions off the roles of looking for work. But hey the libs buy the BS so it must be OK.:duh:

Here's our latest land purchase. Just over three acres in the pines facing two paved roads, well, septic, power, phone, and elk on my lot almost every single evening of the year. Besides, we use it to get out of the heat in Phoenix during the summer and it's far more than doubled in value since I purchased it last year. All in all, I believe it to be a wise purchase. I understand some prefer holding a vile of gold but I feel good about owning this because I set my fifth wheel on it and I can use it to grow food and survive. Best of all, it's surrounded by conservative property owners who are like-minded. I find this to be highly beneficial as well. :D
