This is a screenshot of the vote count to fund benefits for our Veterans. Easy call, correct? Who is against funding our nation's heroes? Well, apparently not an easy call as 164 Democratic members of Congress voted NO on this measure.

You miserable liberals must be just jumping for joy over your party today!!!!!!!!!:knockout::)hand:knockout::no:

GOP at it's finest...even Willard disapproves of such willful intent...:|err

"What makes the House Republicans' decision to shut down the federal government an immoral and unconscionable "threat" rather than an ordinary political disagreement? The answer is simple. House Republicans who do not have the votes to repeal Obamacare through the processes of democracy threatened to close the federal government, to throw hundreds of thousands of innocent government employees out of work, and to damage the nation's economy unless the Senate and the President acceded to their demands. By threatening to wreak havoc with the national interest and inflicting serious harm on hard-working, loyal public employees, they are attempting to coerce rather than to persuade the government into doing what they want. The House Republicans, in short, are holding the nation itself hostage to their demands. This is not democratic governance. This is extortion, plain and simple. In any other circumstance, this would be criminal conduct."

hil:)hil:)hil:) OMG that is fucking funny shit right there.

Threatening, and actually shutting done non essential(read useless) services is small shit compared to the extortion the democrats pulled getting that socialist illegal bill passed

to begin with. At what point would stopping Hilter been acceptable to you shue? Imagine how much cheaper it would have been to stop him in the beginning. You should be thanking these republicans.

OH, and lets not forget this little tidbit, shortly followed by a 100% democrat senator vote NOT to raise the debt ceiling.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a Sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. ...Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here'. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and Grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

SENATOR BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, MARCH 2006

The party of "distractions"...

You know, one thing missing this time around when it comes to the CR that the gov't needs in lieu of a real budget, is each side rambling on about the other side's pork attachments to the CR... Not a single mention this time.. Seems to me all this "shutdown and/or obamacare" discussion has the effect of smoke and mirrors to quite successfully remove all the allegations of true gov't waste... I have heard the dim Senate/obama wanted the CR funding in the 1.05 trillion range, and they claim to have compromised and accepted the GOP House number of 870 billion or so... It's only 80 billion different, chicken feed by todays standards.. BUT, not a single allegation about the other party's pork??? Hmmmm, I smell a rat, or rotten fish, and am starting to wonder what is really in the CR that neither party wants to talk about??? Are we spending millions again to study some obscure frog or lizards mating habits??

I more than a little obvious to anybody with a brain, that Reid is protecting Obama by not passing the House bill, and making Obama veto it. The last thing they want is putting the shut down in Oblaimo lap. So in reality, its the democrats protection of Oblaimo that is shutting down the government.

Frankly, I have no trouble with the poor innocent NSA agents not having the funds to tap my phone for awhile.

The House Republicans didn't threaten to do anything. They simply agreed to fund what they felt the people they represented would want them to approve. Since when is agreeing to give most of what someone is asking for a threat? I like the twisted logic used here, if I ask the bank for $500,000 and they say they will give me $450,000 because they don't think the pool I want to add to the new house is a wise investment, I should sue them for threatening me?

The people that shut down the Government was the Senate. They had an approved bill from Congress that funded everyone of those government employees. They chose nothing rather than something. If I can't have it all, we don't want anything and it is your fault for not giving us everything in the first place. What an attitude. So why didn't they take what was on the table and not shut down the Government and then go back and demand Congress fund the ACA? Because they, the Senate, were the ones trying to extort someone. They are unwilling to negotiate a budget, they just want everything funded or else. The or else is the Senate threatening. The fact that they were blaming the Republicans for shutting down the gov't before it was even shut down, shows they knew their vote was the one that effectively shut it down.

The political way things used to work, was take what was funded, then wait for something the Republicans wanted and hold off on approving it until they agreed to refund the ACA. The new liberal policy is give me everything I want or we will blame you for the bad things we do to our country and people.

That's hilarious stuff! Isn't this the same University where our supreme leader supposedly taught con law?
Maybe if you throw a quote up there from Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid, we'll finally see the error of our ways and cave. I guess the fact that the founding father's broke up the power of the governing bodies so no one branch or party could just have it their way escapes you. Checks and balances! Finally some of our courageous Tea Bagger legislators are doing what their constituent's sent them to D.C. to do, FIGHT PROGRESSIVE SOCIALISM!

I have to laugh at the idea that unemployed(furloughed) government workers hurts the economy. That's a typical socialist view. I guess these morons figure the best fix for a suffering economy is MORE USELESS government workers on the tax payers back. Not hard to see that their REAL GOAL is 100% government employment. You know shue, 1986, shue and CVX thing that's the best solution for a strong economy.

I think it's a great example of the dead weight the Fed government carries. If you "NON ESSIENTIAL" then why am I paying you????
In the real world non essential works are looking for a job, If I don't need what ever your skill set is I'm not paying you to sit around and play Angry Birds all day. This is a great example of socialism i.e., the government using other peoples money.

Shue, Shue, Shue, SHUE!!! You were present for the months after months where we ALL agreed that there are PLENTY of areas for improvement on the current HC systems... There is plenty of low hanging fruit that could be addressed for improvements... YOU know that was the consensus... There is no need to train wreck the U.S. economy and U.S. health care system to make gradual improvements...

I think that both sides can find plenty of areas that need fixing...

BUT you’re talking about a program that is going to destroy HC as we know it and there is no going back once the FED GUBMENT gets their meat hooks into the $$$ streams...

DO we really have to have this same discussion over and over???

First: The law as you call in was brought about by RECONCILLIATION...not exactly a democratic process Second: Unlike all of the real world folks that have lost jobs to Obama care, or the fat position this professor holds at his university (gov job) they will be coming back and getting paid. Like I said before, ordinary folk loose jobs you phuckers don't care....government fat ass looses job for a couple of days with back pay and the world comes to and end. Third: Damage to the economy?????? Really, unlimited spending combined with a new health care Ponzi scheme isn't hurting the economy? How dis honest can you get on the topic. The fact remains that the house and senate are given the ability to shut down government to protect the public from tyranny....although this guys argument seems to say that not only is the Government to big to fail, but that we should never try and stop the government from doing anything....IE let tyranny happen, so a few can have a paycheck at the tax payers expense. Fifth: The majority of Americans are already being held hostage under Obama care....being forced to give up personal freedom so that some lame ass can say he cares. Sixth: Did this guy ever write about the extensive list of criminal conduct from the POTUS, Holder, and Ried....nope he didn't care until it came home to him and his university. Phuck you Mr Levi Distinguished bullshitter from Chicago you TYPICAL DISHONEST SOCIALIST HACK

Sorry but your are wrong again....HILLARY care was shot down faster than SHIZT, they agreed to bring it up if the country wanted, and it would have been a much different medicare re-tooling than what you guys forced on America. However the public didn't want it....Remember the big RED WAVE that threw all your friends out of office????

get honest Shue or are you that far gone?

Showing your true colors, there shue?

You were probably unaware that the house of representatives has sent four bills, that passed solidly, on to the senate for approval - every one of which fully funded the government but didn't fund KenyanKare. If you had a clue, everything about you would be different.
