The trim gauge for my outdrive, when the drive is all the way down does not read that it is all the way in the down position. The gauge read about the 1/8th mark. It use to read correctly but this last weekend it stopped reading correctly. Does anyone know what would cause this????
Thanks.

Did the screws holding the sender to the drive come loose allowing it to rotate?

The Bellhousing pivot pins are what drive the sender. Remove the sender, (starboard side) and make sure the pivot pin is not starting to come loose. (takes a special tool) If it is tight adjust the sender and if it does not operate smoothly or stay adjusted, it will have to be replaced.

What kind of special tool? Where can I purchase this tool?
Thanks.
