Hey guys I have a Merc 496HO on a Nordic Rage. Yesterday my trim quit working. Heres the deal. It will trim down but not up. The trim on the Throttle and dash do nothing. The rocker switch on the back of the boat will try to lower it but when you try to lift the trim the pump just makes a clicking sound. Any Help is appreciated. Im hoping it may be just a simple fix before I have to take it to the shop since i also lost a box anchor and bent my prop all in the same day.:bangmyhead:

Sounds like a bad relay on the pump. Make yourself a jumper wire and bypass the relay and see if it will work.

[Trim it up]

Happened to my brother a couple of weeks ago. He was running on one battery that was extremely weak. We switched to both batteries after scratching our heads and it worked. Start there first and see if thats the case. Good luck

Thanks for the suggestions guys. It ended up being a bad conection and was a easy fix. Happy boating. ~ hauling ass and burning gas~
