Big thanks to F14 for the invite to join him and SeaSick Rick on the Mariah yesterday. We launched at Benicia Marina, cruised +/- 30mph to Sams for lunch. It's only 23 miles from Benicia and San Pablo bay was flat. Had a wonderful lunch, thanks Rick, then headed to Pier 39 to check it out. It took us about an hour to get back and had an absolute blast. We ran up thru Vallejo, under the Highway 37 bridge then F14 decided to show Rick what the "mighty" Mariah Carey had. We saw 50.2mph going down wind, down current. What a great day!!

A ton of places in the Delta. Really depends where you want to launch and how much fuel you want to burn. We prefer the central and northern Delta and store our boat at B&W Resort. When are you looking at doing this trip? Several places are still closed for the winter. Get a good map of the Delta if you chose to explore. Stay out of the middle of Frank's tract and Big Break, go around the outside of both. Let us know when, good chance some of us will be out.

Trying to plan a trip this summer for sure. Looked online at b&w. Nice cabins right on the water. Might try there first and see what happens.

Race to the Rock; those were good races by NWSRA.
Yes they were! Always fun trying to get the skier back up if he went down around Alcatraz. Had to get your boat and skier aligned in trough of the waves. The SF bay is usually so snotty it was hard to even find a trough. Did it one year in a Stoker 20SST..........we got wet, and then some! Finished the race and took 2nd in class.
Good fun. Pretty sure that venue was Bobby Maher's doing.
