i have a tx20 warhawk last year was first year in the water was very happy with it it has a blown 454 around 650 maybe 700 hp just a guess turned a AA aggressor 5600 ran a hair over 100mph on pump gas very happy with numbers has a droop, ride plate, place diviter the pump is set back where the clean out is on the outside of the transum has a low pro intake boat purpos bad at cruiseing speed lowered ride plate down to 4 degrees seem to help some boat airs out nice at speed drive line is a standered 1310 style so the motor is set back with the pump was thanking about slinding it foward 4 inches or so to stock location was hoping this would help with the purposing problem and my pump unloads bad on take off pump is tight i read on here that peterson place crafts have these problems and sliding the motor foward helped a great deal any ideas would be great thanks

My '79 model TX-20 has the engine set in at approximately 22" from the transom. The driveshaft is 9" longer than a typical H-joint. I can still use a rear seat if needed although a little tight. The boat runs real well at this setting.

My brother's TX-20 is a little more extreme as the engine is set at 34" from the transom.
No rear seat on this one.

Gearhead , your brothers TX20 is my old boat and at one time that was the fastest TX20 that I have ever seen. I have some pics I could scan if anyone want to see'em.
I dont know exactly what has been done with the shoe & loader since I had it but it couldnt have been changed for the better. I always ran a dom 9.250" AA in it when I had it. I have ridden in many jet boats but that one rode the best, took rough water well and still hauled the mail. It was light, so I say if you have a light one and the room move it up to 33-34". Ervin Capps can do the bottom & make them run. JMO.

10-4 on the Hass boat! We don't know what the OK boys may have changed. I don't think too much. We reinforced the keel a little, added pump brace, etc. The only thing we have not done is pull down the pump. I think we should do so before it goes to the lake. I think we were told it had an bronze Agressor impeller. The only hardware change we have made is that I did drop the shoe a little. I like a little more shoe behind the drop keel to load the bottom of the pump better and the one that was in there was badly eroded.

im setting on 17 inches right now going to slide it forward 4 inches for a jetaway see if this helps with my troubles

As I was reading down the thread, I was thinking, just throw a jetaway in it, it will make your life easier, and allow you to keep your present driveline. Looking at the pic of your motor, you are not going to be able to play with the attitude of it much with the way the stringers are cut down in front of the rail kit, you are only going to be able to go about 4-5 more inches fwd.

I read your post and I am in the EXACT same situation right now with a 08 Warhawk, also with a full set back and H-coupler. I was wondering how this turned out and if you had any recommendations for a fellow boater in the same situation that you have experienced…. Any advice would be appreciated…
