UMPBA 1/4 mile drag racing August 10 at the "WALL" Jewel Iowa @ little wall lake The Jewell, Iowa race is now officially on the books……..this race is replacing the cancelled Carter Lake/Omaha race…..
Race date is August 10, 2013….Qualifying runs can be made starting at 9:00 AM…..Drivers meeting at 11:00 AM and race starts at 12:00 Noon.
Little Wall Lake is south of Jewell on Hwy. 69 and there are camping spots right at the boat landing on the North side which make it a great place to race…. for more info visit WWW.UMPBA.ORG

A little more than a week out, a Good crop of Hydros, Flats, Jets, and Outboards will be there.

Lake Racer
* 65 mph or less
* Life Jacket
* Tethered Ignition kill switch
* Tethered Fuel kill switch if equipped w/ external fuel pump
* DOT approved helmet
* Battery hold-down to be solid, bolted system. No rubber straps or bungee cords
* Steering system to be slop-free and tight. No excessive steering wheel free play.
V-drive rudders must be tight
Lake Racer 1
* 66 – 75 mph
* Life Jacket
* Tethered Ignition kill switch
* Tethered Fuel kill switch if equipped w/ external fuel pump
* DOT approved helmet
* Battery hold-down to be solid, bolted system. No rubber straps or bungee cords
* Steering system to be slop-free and tight. No excessive steering wheel free play.
V-drive rudders must be tight
Lake Racer 2
* 76 – 85 mph
* Tethered Ignition kill switch
* Tethered Fuel kill switch (if so equipped w/external fuel pump)
* Life Jacket w/legs straps
* Foot throttle's only
* DOT approved helmet
* Battery hold-down to be solid, bolted system. No rubber straps or bungee cords
* Steering system to be slop-free and tight. No excessive steering wheel free play.

* 86 – 95 mph
