One things for sure...the price of "gas" won't make me sell my Jet...but...the price of DEISEL:))ThumbsDwnFUEL is sure killing the diesel PU market and making me want to sell mine.

not really.... if you really think about it boats are pleasures.... not a necesaty(sp) if I couldnt afford to put gas in my boat I probably couldnt afford the rest of the trip. personally I went from towing with my f-350 to using my gf's canyon. instead of getting 7mpg now we get 20 using her truck. But I think "most" jet boaters, in my area anyways we dont run our boats too much.... usually launch the boat, make a 3-4 mile run up river... float for a while... go to our sand bar and drop off the gf and make some passes.... go back and just chill. last summer I went out every other weekend... I have two 12 gallon tanks would only use 8 gallons a trip. Even when I went to parker and we boated all day I only used one tank. I got to the point if I'm payin 4 bux a gallon for 91 ill buy 10 gallons of 112 and mix it.... O yea it also helps to have a gf with a gas card :)devil

Lucky for me I got friends who help out with fuel. I can use all 36 gallons in a day or less. I may just end up hanging at the beach more. If it gets to a point where I cant afford the gas then its time to sell them.

Back to hanging wit the choa lows on the banks.

the smaller boat should become more valuable. they use less fuel than the aircraft carriers that every one wants, and a lot cheaper to tow

I had a 20 placecraft daycruiser jet with a 468 and went to a 22 Daytona outdrive with a fuel injected 496. The jet boat used alot less gas for me. I think part of the reason is the jet had to cruise in rough water and the Daytona likes it at wide open throttle.
That being said, we usally just cruise around and float alot so I will still be at the lake. I did sell my f250 diesel and got to a 1/2 ton GMC. I dont miss the diesel pump at all.
