I just replaced the oil pump on my BBC because the spring broke decreasing pressure...I have roller rockers & stud girdle but no deflector plates in the cast aluminum valve covers. At higher rpm, over 3500 & up I'm getting oil out the breather with a new working PCV & breather...my question is I went with a Melling 77HV which gives me 60 lbs. a but 25% more volume over stock, do I need the deflectors or what?...Grommets are serious McMaster-Carr and everything "seems" like a tight fit...:)eh:)...

Thanks Guys
