BUT you have to insist that the person doing the Wet Sanding uses "water based sanding fluid"

we use this exclusively at Ap Designs, and it makes a HUGE difference. In the middle of color sanding a few projects right now.

just ask Bobby/Havasu1986..... the water based sanding fluid works better then the silicon based fluids. Tz

What is your point, or where are you heading with this? :)eh:)
well, I made the comment that my new boat was at lench's getting
finish wet sanding and buffed........
someone on the boards said something like why would you sand and buff a brand new boat and on who's dime???

so then others have it in there mind that there is something wrong with my boat and
that it is inferior to others
I said all boats get polished when they come out of the mold..

so I was wondering how many accually knew that they are sanded to the smooth shine
they have..

While redoing my Daytona I discovered the top half had been color sanded and polished but the bottom had not been sanded, just polished. it made a big difference when I did it.
some times they just do a "shoe shine" and cut corners...
hard to find a good cut and buff guy.. take a lot of self discipline

Bottom SIDE of the hull or Bottom of the boat? DO NOT EVER polish the bottom running surface of a hull. it will slow you WAY down.
