:|err I am such a f-ing loser. Pulled the boat out of the garage with the engine cover up and it caught the roll up door. I have a pin in the channel to hold it higher and got f-ing lazy and thought I had enough clearance. Blew out one side of the hinges. Good thing it just broke one side only, I guess it could of broke both of them and folded the cover over the back of the boat. Another lesson learned the hard way.:|err Go ahead and say it.

It's always sad to see things like this happen, just remember it could always be worse.
that's a piper cub, i've got 14hrs in 1 of those:D that wasn't me though, i can fly a cub pretty decently:D

dude, we've all done some dumbass chit! couple summers back my new 250buck scoop and tray came in, we stuck em on the boat and headed out to the lake, was on the water less than 10 minutes when all of a sudden i hear a tone change in the motor, look back just in time to see my 250 scoop set-up 20 ft in the air, whipped the boat around, and touched it with my finger tips before it went on down:)sphss i had forgotten to bolt it down on the motor:)st:)sphss:)st:)sphss

What are you doing taking the boat out in 74 degree weather:p
I thought I'd check the oil and put the drain plugs in outside the garage. Yea, what a good idea that was. Still pissed at myself, but as my son said, "Sometimes stuff happens, Dad".

Put on your poker face & play the cool laidback roll. everyone knows a seasoned boater just wants to get on the water and have some fun. :)hand You have all winter to mess with that shiznit. Happens to the best intentioned. Throw in a few screws and get out there with your kids. Have a good weekend

Well cooled down somewhat. Removed splinters and the shiny stuff, filled with plastic wood. Will let you know how it works out. Know it all neighbor said to drill and put a dowel in. Maybe he's right.

Obviously you're disappointed with yourself but I look at it like this, as long as everyone walks away from the event, it won't matter in a year or 5 years or whatever. Live and learn! Now if your wife had done it???!!!!!

I would have blamed the wife, instead of admitting to that blunder! :D
