I just ordered a cam for my 468 rebuild from Chris Straub. It was very reasonable priced as well as some other parts. He was extremely helpful and I've heard nothing but good things about him. You can PM him, he goes by cstraub on here.

What cam is the best to run in a BBC. I have a 468 with a AA in the pump

Go to Engle Cams web site-

follow their guideline as to what size engine and desired HP Curve & operating RPM-

Note the relative specs - Go shopping.

(Happy with my Engle cams)

I just went througth this with Comp Cams Friday.

With a 396 10.8 comp, ported 110 cc heads single plane and 750 cfm They suggested an XM278 to bleed off some cyl pressure so I can stay on pump gas. Thats with an A or B impeller.

I have an XE274 sealed in box that I'm now looking to get rid of.
