Seems I have no home, no more "gearheads" section.

Since I have to pick one forum, I figured the V-drive guys would appreciate the billet porn the most.

So I am working on a billet blower plenum/intake for Nissan V-6 in a sandrail. It is modeled after a cobbled together stock manifold with a plate welded on top for the Whipple/Lycoming supercharger.

I have only finished the top so far.

I was told it was the motor out of the 87-89 Maxima or maybe a 300ZX? I am not sure about that.

It is running some kind of an early type of aftermarket FI computer(Aerotech or maybe Autotronic) since this car was originally built I think in 89 or so with an engine out of a wrecked car that had 250 miles on it:))eek:))

I don't know what kind of hood clearance is on a G-35, but like most new cars, doubful. The manifold itself will be no taller that the stock manifold if that helps.

Gain?

Boost?

HH magnacharger?

No oxide as far as I know, didn't ask for it either, not enough transmission anyway.

hey man...
same engine as a g-35 ?
will it fit under the hood ?
they runnin them with the stock ecm ? or motech ? (sp ?)

how much gain ?
how much boost ?
does it work better than a high helix magnacharger ?

are you making a nitrous sandwich plate too ? with annular discharge holes?

i bet the trashcan is full of peperoni pizza boxes and pepsi bottles ? LOL !

I'll assume you mean MACHINING movies.....

You need movies.
I have tried that before, problem is with the coolant spray, it would mostly turn into a shower scene.

You aren't looking for THAT are you?

Just for reference, I have about 8-10 hrs for the concept to a working design/programs and 8-10 hours of machine-time.

Thanks but I still don't think it compares to the stuff your posting. ;)

I had it out for it's first lake test yesterday and I think it's gonna work real well too. :D

Wow Brian and to think you do all that with a hand drill, hacksaw, and a couple of basterd files :D:D:D. All kidding aside that is some badass machine work. I have friend that has a machine shop with what he calls his giant router (Fadal CNC Mill) that I could stand and watch the chips fly for hours. I did all the rigging for my Mako flat on Wiltons hand crank Bridgeport so I really can relate to the effort that you put into your billet porn. Thanks for sharing and keep the pics comming when you got time.
