I think it was sort of sleeping. It didn't move for at least 8 hours, then it sort of came to life and just flew away.
When I went outside it would open its eyes and sort of cower a little, but then would just sort of doze off again.
We have a different type of bird in our work parking lot. When it has eggs...or babies...and you get by them...it will hold one wing out like its broke and hobble around like its wounded to draw you away from the nest.
It's dove season! it's a dove....Oct. 10th when duck season opens it will be a duck. If it flies, it dies! Jking
