GMC always had more cutting edge stuff on them first. Also GMC makes the big truck line, top kicks and bigger. Chevy was more the consumer meat and potatoes.
Doesn't matter much. They'll go tits up soon. I've been a GM guy and will NOT be buying another. F gubmit motors!
As I recall, it always seemed like GMC trucks have been priced a little cheaper than their more popular counterpart. I bought a GMC pick up for that reason back in 96. Why it is, I don't know. Whole different ballgame now though so who knows.
What we're seeing happen with govt. motors with the appointment of the new CEO by the govt. and having a controlling interest in the company etc., is the trend that other "big businesses" will suffer. WSJ reported that the justice dept. is looking at "big wireless" i.e., Verizon and AT&T. Apparently they feel antitrust laws are being broken, that these carriers control too much market share. That means the govt. will come in, chop up these co's into smaller co's like they did with MaBell. It obviously didn't work since AT&T is pretty much right back where it was in 1985.
I'm just saying, wait and see what the govt. does to big business. They want to cut it down to size AND install more Czar's to oversee operations to insure that they stay small so as to not get "too big" and remain a much less significant influence on their respective markets. This is exactly what Communism has been trying to accomplish for many decades, to diminish the scope, influence and power of American big business.
