here we go again......shall I just start with JFK and Clintoon?
Because the press buries any sex scandal stories when it involves Democraps. They happen....we just don't hear about them.
Gary Hart was the Democrat sex scandal poster boy. Not only he got caught he had the unmitigated gall to dare the press to try and catch him at it, he was even stupider to do what he got caught at. Even getting caught red-handed the press tried to bury it but it was too big to bury. The funny thing was the boat he was photographed on playing with a "sweet young thing" was named "Monkey Business" How appropriate. Anyone that stupid has no business being president.Anyone remember Gary Hart??? Seems he was a Demoncrap that ran for President. Seems like there might have been a little scandle there as well. Why do you Liables never remember these things. sphss
Did he break any laws ? Funny how adultrey is so frowned upon by the Dems but tax evaders are OK.sphsshandhand
Good grief.... Jimmy Swaggart??? sphss You really trust and think a liberal news paper would post anything bad about Democrats? Really? sphssRepublicans are always beating the drum of family values and high moral standards that they are unable to live up to, that is why this is so funny. Here's a nice little list of Republican sex scandals::yes: Republican Sex Scandals Dwarf Those of Democrats - Salem-News.Com:|err:|err:|err
Well said Doc.You guys argue like this is somehow "party specific."
There will always be an ample supply of indiscretion throughout humanity most of which will never be discovered or reported. I'm the first one in line to remind the world that Teddy Kennedy not only crossed the line with extramarital affairs but that he killed Mary Jo Kopechne as well without any earthly consequence but the simple fact is that I have made my fair share of mistakes in my life as well. Not along these lines but wrong, nonetheless. We are seeing the tip of the iceberg in relation to sexual misconduct to which I'll say two things:
We should clean up your own houses before we head out to clean up the world
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
While your statement rings true, I disagree with term limits. They don't work. The problem is that elected official lose sight of the long-term ramifications of their decisions when term limits are part of the equation. All they are concerned about is passing legislation or policy that gets them elected to their next public seat. Keeping someone around that has "skin in the game" has long-term value.Very well written, Doc. I would add to that the old statement which ought to be engraved in stone on the desk of anyone in public office, " Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely"......and that is one of the main reasons term limits are a great idea.
