Either way....

looking for a BBC oil pan
Either way, jet/v drive, do some measurements for clearance. I know I picked up a bitchen pan for a jet, but it wouldn't clear the jet housing down below...Also, unless there are specific capacity specs it is hard to tell just looking at a pan how much it actually holds below the tray....Sure, if it is on the floor you can add measured liquid and get an absolute number, but I've seen 14 qt pans that only held 11-12 below the windage tray. Also, some deep sump pans are designed for dry sumps and the windage tray becomes a screen. There are baffle mounted trays, and stud mounted trays....Several variables to consider when buying a "new OS" or a used pan.......Ray
