We have a nice set of ceramic coated zoomies. They have a little discoloration on the tips from running rich, but they clean up nicely. Looking for a set of headers and aluminum saddle tanks for our Cole TR2. Let me know what you have. Probably like to get about $250 for them.

I'll have to double check the diameter next time I go to my parent's house. They came with a motor we purchased, but we swapped them out for our traditional zoomies. At the risk of sounding like a total idiot, I can tell you that a tennis ball makes a pretty good plug.

We are looking for a matching pair of saddle tanks w/ brackets, or a set of over the transom headers. I looked on Rewarder's site and it looks like it would cost about $650 for a new pair

Franger,

You're right these are the same zoomies. I know I've listed them before but to be completely honest I had forgot about our exchange.

I don't want to waste every ones time by typing a response on this post, but now I guess I have to, as your post somewhat implies that I ripped you off.

You wanted the zoomies, but you lived in Alaska, so I was going to have to package them and ship them off to you, the problem was the pipes were at my parent's house which is 75 miles from my house. At the time we exchanged quite a few posts as I tried to coordinate a time to get to my parents to pick them up. Unfortunately it was at a busy time with work and I got hired for overtime on the days I had planned to go pick them up.

I agree that I should have made a more concerted effort to drive the 150 miles round trip to get them, as I had told you that I would. In our last exchange I told you that I was very sorry that I could not make it happen, and that I was even more sorry that I could not keep my word. I also apologized for my slow response to some of your messages.

In the end I got busy with life and work, and selling the zoomies for a couple hundred bucks became low on my priority list. I can understand your disappointment as they are a great set of zoomies at a great price. I was simply unwilling to spend 3-4hrs on my day off driving to get them, then package them up and ship them off. In hindsight I should have thought it out more when we first spoke and realized it was going to be more trouble than it was worth.

However, you state that I stiffed you, which implies that you paid me for something. We both know that no money exchanged hands, rather I could not deliver on shipping the zoomies in a timely fashion so I decided to keep them. At the time we had a few motors and our last set of zoomies had just blown out at one of the welds so I figured we may need them. Now we are going a different direction with our two v-drives and I am looking for the parts listed, so I threw them back on the boards.

Like I stated in my PM's last year, and like I have stated above, I'm sorry I could not deliver on shipping you the pipes last year.

I live in orange county, the pipes are in Ventura County. If someone is interested we can discuss the details of swapping parts.

Ian,

I both had and still have no intention of making our entire past conversations public unless you would want me to post the PM's we sent back and forth? I feel like you in that I didn't want to bore anyone with the facts why I felt like you "stiffed" me, that's why I sent you a "PM" with the copies of those back and forth PM's voicing my disappointment.

I would like to clarify a couple of your comments, 1st.... "You wanted the zoomies, but you lived in Alaska, so I was going to have to package them and ship them off to you" ...... No you weren't going to "have to" ship them to Alaska, you knew good and well in mid November you were going to ship them to Norcal ....

Remember these PM's...

This one's your answer to my earlier questions if you were going to the Nationals and if a credit union cashiers check would be OK...

a cashiers check is fine. I'm not going to the nationals but I can get them shipped this week. Send me your address and I'll send you the tracking number after I ship them. You can send the check to:

Ian XXXXXX-XXXXX
1XX5 XXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXX, CA XXXXX

HERE'S my reply to the above PM, originally I had asked you to figure shipping to a closer location than Norcal;

Ian,

Just want to make sure you know the shipping will be more as it's going to 95692 zip code let me know how much for the shipping so I can include that with the header cost.

they will ship to:

XXXX XXXXXXX ( on the PB site)
77XX XXXXXXX XX
XXXXXXXXX, Ca. 95692

thanks,

David

2nd ... "
We both know that no money exchanged hands, rather I could not deliver on shipping the zoomies in a timely fashion so I decided to keep them." Agreed re: money, the problem I had was that you decided to keep them but failed to ever tell me that, you just kept on PM'g apologizing for the delays, saying you'd ship them in a few days or the following week, it's all in the PM's I sent you.

I accept your apology and hope you don't fall back into the same mentality .... "selling the zoomies for a couple hundred bucks became low on my priority list" I can attest to the fact it is very dis heartening going thru what I did, Please follow thru with the next sale in a timely manner, fellow boaters don't deserve that and .... you're a better man than that Ian. Stay safe in your work, firefighting is something I have mad respect for :))THumbsUp

Orange County is doable, who made the zoomies. I would be interested in trading a set of over transom bassetts for the zoomies.

I believe they are Rewarder.

I'm working near my parent's house today so I should be able to get them in the morning. If so I can verify the size and manufacturer, and update this post.
