I'm thinking we're in if the weather holds. Work's been kinda a bitch lately, but things look good for next weekend unless something else goes sideways on me....

I apologize but was informed today the airplane people will be in our cove. I was told by brandi you can use the boat ramp area. Originally I confirmed with the store employees. My bad next time I will check with brandi directly.
I say we reschedule for 2nd Sat of month....was looking forward to this sat....:(

I'm with ya on that one Andy, first Sat has been a thing since I first found out about CFW. How about supporting the boaters that support the cove in spite of the fact we have to put up with less than ideal sanitary conditions on a regular basis?

A couple of years ago my wife and I talked and decided that the Lake Tahoe area did not appreciate our boating dollars and have not been back since. I know some boats are limited on where they can run due to legal issues, I am not bound by those restrictions and have many other venues where I can play that are much closer for me, and where there are no surprises or disappointment.

I was hoping this was an April fools joke, but no such luck.

I guess my only stupid question would be.... why in the world would R/C planes/boats/cars/anything need the entire friggen cove to have their little event????? there is the entire other side of the lake and coves accessible to them and their "little toys" more than our big toys....:confused::confused:

Does the operator of cfw just not think of anything???? :duh: just sayin.....

Paul, Remember "actions" ALWAYS speak louder than words .... The answer to your question may be this, The mgmt appears to have the ability to think about collecting $$$$ But it's sure apparent they don't think about even the basics, like maintaining the toilets, at least from what I saw and have read.

I know, I know .... there are some who rant and rave what wonderful, sweet people they are ..... by their actions I call :cowdodo:

Up here on busy holidays at the three local lakes to boat on, the toilets are checked/pumped twice a day and the clean up people make their rounds every morning, and those are not State campgrounds. Only down side is that on Memorial day, the 4th and Labor day weekends the Coast Guard patrols, BUT, there is no speed limits or noise restrictions to enforce. Basically all they do is make sure people are operating their boats safely, as in no drunk boating, passengers drinking beer seems to get overlooked but not a driver, he'll get pulled over. Hang in there, hope things get better for all you hot boaters that should be considered when scheduling events by the mgmt .....

I'll go down and check out what camanche will let on the lake. I was at a bbq last weekend with a sgt with the sheriff and he thought no noise limits but can't "race" out there. It is patroled by two entities sherrif and rangers so he could'nt vouche for the rangers. The boat cops don't start until memorial day..To be continued..

:shhh::shhh::shhh::shhh: - Dont tell everyone.... than all the CFW'ers will expect a clean toilet to shit in too! :))eek:))

After seeing the turnout last Fathers Day WEEK - it sure seems people are taking their hard earned dollars and spending them elsewhere. CFW needs to figure out they got competition for the expendable $$$ that are being spent and people are now making 'other' choices.

I remember sharing the cove with RC guys, couldn't have been more than 2 years ago. They loved the boats and we loved there planes and boats.

Sounds like people just love to bitch. Rather than bring negativity to CFW it would be better to hold your opinions to yourselves and go frequent Modesto and other lakes mentioned previously. If you havent figured it out by now, you never will. CFW has been the same for decades and will never change. What is so hard to understand? We are FORTUNATE to have this lake in our back yard! You will realize it once its gone!

Kinda what I was thinking..... Very few places in NorCal where they let us run our boats and none with as good a water as CFW.
