This is a 6 liter that spent 25 years in a warehouse, never wet until 2006 Detroit Gold Cup.. It has a 650 horse small block and I have no idea how fast it will go..

The hull with hardware is 515 lbs. The 7 liter is Jon's "Special Edition" It holds many records and national championships... It's being rebuilt for Vintage..

[QUOTE=Usail2;789279] I was there with my 7 liter.
    John,
Did you have the Special Edition?? Isn't the Blue Water Special Earl Halls boat? What a great class that was. Some of the greatest drivers and people you could ever meet. Most of the guys that drove these boats are legands in APBA hydroplane racing. Got thinking that these guys are talked about all the time at any of the vintage gatherings and most of the flatbottom guys are nearly forgotten. You really had a great bunch of guys down South. I had a great time racing down there the couple years I left the CanAm series Thought this might be a good time to remember some of thoes guys that never get a mention
Jim Nader, Doc Nader, Dill Kaufman, Mike Smith, Gee McClean, The Willis Brothers, Billy Teat, Jim Clause, Hank&Peggy Wendt, Fred Perkins, Mike Conte, Phil Alepia and I'm sure there are a few I'm missing that I had the pleasure of racing with thoes couple years. Doc,Stevie,Commander,Murry,Kiely do get a mention on this site once in awhile. I know Phil is gone but I hope all the others are doing well.
Wasn't your F boat Jake Oreo's boat that was up here in Western New York and than purchase by Mike Endres ?

Great pics..... OK, I admit I am senile.. Who is in the K-boat? I do not remember him unless it is Skip S.. I am also going to give some credit to the world’s greatest patrol boat in the foreground. Wes Baker and his White Schiada boat was a very important part of the USA. He never received enough credit for his efforts. Wes pulled up more boats without any more damage than anybody I have ever seen. He could roll a boat back over and dry it out like no other. Julian P had a unfortunate ride or two in that boat when came up to Utah. Jeff England is in the one shot of the Patrol boat setting the course. He is on the left. Another really good driver that did not stay in the sport long enough...
