    Default Good thing to check

it's good to check your Magnaflow water pump every few years, I noticed a little water coming from the weep hole so I thought I'd get into it and check it out. Good thing
as the bearing on the engine side was almost frozen and the bearing on the impeller side was…… well as you can see, basically destroyed. Thanks to Mike at Rex Marine who had fixed me up with a rebuild kit

No, i've never had oil leak out, that would seem to indicate that the engine side bearing would be a bit loose as it would be the only thing to prevent oil coming in from the engine. The impeller side has seals in addition to the bearing to keep water from coming in.

    I dont NO much.
I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Sadly JT I think it only lasted 15 or 20 years :roll eyes:, I'll have to go back and check when I first put that motor together a long time ago, motor has seen several iterations but the pump was always constant
