Default Looking for V drive mechanic in southeast

Hi I would like to know if anyone knows of a reputable V drive mechanic or repair shop in the southeast preferably within 300-400 miles of Martinsville VA. Looking to have my engine removed for rebuild then reinstalled. Also want to have the velvet drive and C500 casale gone through. I know I should be doing all this work myself but I just do not have the time and I do not want to start something that I cannot finish in a timely manner. Hoping to find someone who races and repairs V drives in the southeast region. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for any replies.
    Dennis...

Jimmy Clauss: He's more in Northeast, but should be about the same miles. He's been at this V-drive thing for a long time. J & J Marine - Boat Service, Repair, and Transport | Deptford, NJ

    Thanks Canam
J&J is definitely worth a look as they have outstanding reviews. Also like that they build & run a few circle boats.
Thanks again for your help appreciate it very much.

I don't expect you can do much better than Paul Fitzgerald,, and close to VA as well!

    Thanks OB1
Yes I have already had some work done by Paul last year. He is a great mechanic/racer with many years of V drive experience. The last time I spoke with him was back in November. Now I cannot get in contact with him have tried calling him numerous times but nobody ever answers the phone. I'am hoping everything is alright with him.

Casale is still around and will rebuild your drive.

Well after weeks of research I have finally found an engine builder in Tennessee who will be doing the rebuild of my 454. Eddie Young of Youngs performance marine I have never spoken to a man who is more dedicated to an engine build than Eddie. He spent over an hour on the phone with me explaining exactly what we can do as far as a rebuild. Never once tried to talk me into building new or anything that was not exactly what I wanted. I tried very hard to not keep him on the phone for any longer than necessary but he insisted on knowing every detail about the boat and engine. He explained to me that his customers are his top priority and if he spends an hour on the phone he will work an hour later in his shop simple as that. Needless to say I was amazed at this kind of customer service and without hesitation decided this is who I want to do my rebuild. I also like the fact that he only builds marine engines period. Now I just have to get the boat delivered up to Tennessee.

If he is just the engine builder, why not get someone local to pull the engine and just ship that to him?

Thanks OB1 yes thought about that but Eddie is going to do the removal and reinstall for me. Trying to keep things as simple as possible by having everything done in one place.
