With the boat complete and ready for this race season, it’s time to thank these wonderful folks for helping us get it there.

A huge thank you to Patrick Minegar, owner of A-1 Air Conditioning for getting this project started and keeping it going.

JJ Beaverfab, for stepping up and providing the correct gears and shaft couplers. If you need any V-drive work or parts JJ is the go to guy.

Cutting Edge Propellers. Auggie has spent many hours with Jasper working to get our propellers to perform exactly as we want them to.

A-1 Canvas for providing Samantha with a beautiful work cover to protect the boat at the races.

HDS motor Machine. We do a great job of blowing things up, Casey is always on the spot machining our engine blocks and rebuilding heads for us.

Metal Craft Products. Matt has been very gracious allowing Jasper to use his shop to manufacture all of our special need parts.

Thanks so much for all the feedback. We appreciate it.
Yes Paul, the struggles are many but as you well know “that’s racing” we wouldn’t have it any other way. Watching the young ones learn and grow this sport is priceless.

Whoopsie....seems I was completely wrong in my analogy as to why the motor broke......seems in our haste to make it to the race we forgot to install the oil galley plug behind the timing chain. Lesson learned.
On a good note, in picture number two the plates are all the way up allowing the boat to set on it own. Gotta love it.

Heaven knows we all have made a goof before. It is nice when you can tell what the cause of an engine failure is. Good luck getting things back together and ready for the next race.

    Hello!
    Bummer with the plug...
Good luck wth getting the motor re-built and ready to go again!

I am still working with getting my boat to "fly", but you definity done that. From my limited knowledge that seems spot on right?
    Question:
I guess that picture are at full throttle right? at about 70-80mph? Does the boat than jump at say 45-50mph no plate down?
Struggling to know when I am on the right track...
Thanks for a very interesting thread and best of luck to you for the season!

Thats one beautiful Daytona Bob. With seven B-boats in the frey this year we all have the potential to be a front runner, as long as we don’t break out. Love the red!

You are not forgotten, as soon as we get the motor in I will call you for sure. Looks like we will be testing three boats.

Hi Per. I apologize for not getting back to you regarding plotting the bottom of the boat. Jasper never followed through with that project.
I am not sure what speed the boat is in the images of Samantha’s boat. I can speak for my Daytona. In the GPS-100 class it will do 93 mph as will most of the SE boats that race up a class for more seat time. Race water conditions predict so much how the boat will handle. Sometimes we never take our foot off the down pedal. Other races we only use the pedal in the corners. I will say different boats handle differently. Our Hondo always required a lot of pedal. The 16’ Mandella loved to jump out of the water so that’s how we drove it. The B-boats are very nice handling forgiving boats. That’s why there are so many of them racing. Good luck with your boat set up.

Thanks Paul. I am sure there are a few more FUBR’s comming our way. Your knowledge and kind words are always appreciated.
