    Default Hot Boat Outlaws

This weekend is the summer opening event for the Hot Boat Outlaws at Lake San Antonio. Festivities will include various trophies for some outlandish catagories, as well as a Bikini Contest with pro models and a Beefcake Contest with the Young, Middle Aged, and Antique (me), represented. Big BBQ Saturday evening, with the campfire. Some of the trophies:
    ** Best of Show-(Boat on a rope!!)
** Best of Go and Clean it Later
** Bikini Contest Winner (Outlaw wives to Judge this one!!)
** Biggest Fuel Burner (I can't compete with the blown jets on this one!)
** Beefcake Contest Winner (I don't stand a chance in hell on this one!!)
    ** Few more that I can't remember??
We will hit the Waystation on Friday night between 7:30-8:00 for dinner, a birthday cake for Heidi, (61) on Saturday. (our 20th Anniversary today)
We will be in A Loop, North Shore. My Scouts will be 100 yards away in another Camp, and have challenged the Outlaws to a canoe race on Saturday afternoon. Personally, I don't think the Outlaws stand a chance. This how the canoe race works: Every time you hear a whistle once, you switch front to back with your partner. Everytime you hear a whistle blow twice, you bail out of the canoe and get back in. All of this while going across an area of the lake to the other side and back. I would suggest that we take the chutes off of our Lifeline jackets for this one. Gonna be fun to watch the fat guys!!

The women are going to judge the bikini contest? This ought to be interesting seeing how women rarely know how to employ the finer aspects of bikini contest judging. Such as:
    1. Take the damn thing off if you want to win honey.
    2. The taste test.
    3. The "What are you doing after the contest" portion of the contest.
    4. The blind-folded bikini swap (timed event)
    5. The "Shiver Shots" competition.

I've got $5 on the scouts.
If Denis built the scouts canoe, make it $10.

RIP Jeffrey Lee Aschwanden. Godspeed bro.

Thank You for all the help Mr. Bandit !!!

Here is how life works. Donnie asked me how we should judge the Bikini contest. (Have you heard about the two gay judges that tried each other??) Having been married three times, and wishing to make this on last, I said, "let the wives judge it". I guarntee you this will keep us off of the hot seat. Donnie said our Speedos arrived today for the Beefcake contest, and that they are almost see through!? I guess it pays to advertise------??? I don't think any of the cuties will be beating down the motorhome door to get to my body though. (Remind me to tell you about when I had spiked hair at Scout Camp and was hit on from a female Scoutmaster!!-true stories are stranger than fiction!!) I have enough time in a canoe to make it smoke, but I'm not sure how Donnie will do. If I can stand the embarassment of a Beefcake Contest, being humiliated by kids should be no big deal. Besides that , I can make them do push ups. We gotta keep this clean with the gals Smash!!

    Default SA lake LE

Last time I was at Lake SA it seemed there were more LE boats than fast boats. Does the LE give you a break on open headers?? High speed runs?..Just curious, SA used to be my favorite lake until the gestapo showed up.....Ray

Trying to pry my eyes open and get packed. I finally had two service calls this week, first ones in over six weeks. Changing these 150 pound shear blades is about to do my back in, but work is work. Thanks God for the young bucks that they had help me!!

We plan to get to San Antonio about noon. I need to reset the up adjustment on the plate system, as that probably changed when I straightened the bar. Fresh oil change and checked the valves and all of the nuts and bolts. INTERESTING POINT: I have the usual nuts and bolts that loosen or bend when the boat is pounded hard, and I am used to tightening or replacing them. When the boat was checked this time, non of the usual stuff was loose and other stuff that never came loose was loose-WTF??!! The only thing I can think of, is that I changed from 18 gears to 15 gears on the lake set up, (I have never used 15's) and altered the engine/propeller harmonics. Anyone else ever seen this happen ??

We are off to the Lake. Hope there is some new meat out there to race.
