Cool Flatbottom Tuesdays at Lucky Peak?

Ok, I know that the waters still pretty cold and the water level in the lake is high but when are we going to start the Tueday night gatherings? I did pick up a 18' Sanger over the winter and I was hoping to do some shake down with it. I've had it at Lake Lowell once and it was a handfull. P.S My old Blue and White Rayson Craft is for sale. Call me 208-409-7911

    Paul,

You need to have RCL look at the set up it shouldn't be that much of a handful unless you've got a monster motor with the plate out of adjustment, loose steering cables and a mis-matched prop......now that a handful.!!!!

Good luck and look forward to seeing her.

OK call it what you want. "Hot Boat" is more appropriate since we all have different bottoms on our hulls.
I will check out all of the variables. The motor is on rails and could be moved forward 3 inches. It looks like it had been there in the past and moved back to accommodate a set of rear facing seats but those days are long gone. The motor is a 402 BBC. Very stout and like to run at the higher RPM. The boat had been sitting for a number of years so I,m just getting her back in lake shape. Needs paint pretty bad but that will come in due time.

OK Gentleman - back to the question at large........Any clue when Tuesdays will be happening? - Am planning on hauling the old tug boat over for a couple days and your get to gethers sound fun. Never been up to Lucky Peak but will get with someone here to find out where you dock, etc. Of course I am sure no one would even think of any after boating "socializing" on a Tuesday night. Will be watching the weather - the boat is ready, I'm ready, Let the games begin!

Hey guys, I was up there in potato land a week ago and was wondering why you guys don't boat on the river between Twin Falls and Boise? If there was a river that nice with in 300 miles of Los Angeles there would be a thousand boats all over it. I never saw a single boat, whats up with that?

There are some good spots along the Snake River like Burley and around Hagerman. The biggest problem a rocky bottom and shallow, very unpredictable as the water level changes daily because of the irrigation demands.

Christen the Hallett at Lucky Peak last Wednesday morning, smooth as glass! Nuke-Me "Eric" and I did the cruise waiting for my wife Nancy to show up. We went out and let her drive the boat for the first time, 3000 RPM and did a great job, we swapped seats and went for a WFO pass a first time for her an a trooper to say the least!!

    Thanks Eric, it was fun!!
