Talking Labor Day - Mardon 2008

Hey, so it's about time to start a thread on here about the big Labor Day bash at Mardon! It's a must see/attend weekend. Who has the pics from last year? - we should post some up to spread the word.

I know MrsP is coming up, Wicked Performance Boats and Corndog - anyone else making the trek up to Washington?
BTW - 20ftNordic has an RV spot and is looking for someone to take it from him, anyone want it? Maybe Wicked Alcoholic will make the trip up as well??????? Anyone.....

Got my reservation confirmation in the mail yesterday - woohoo!!!

Let me echo what everyone has said and add that you WILL NOT find a better bunch than the group of misfits that Tony Skagen (Blown Glass) has assembled. Whether you're a big hitter or a cruiser, partier or with kids, this is a fantastic group without any drama and there is no place better to boat in the summer than the Potholes.

See you there. We have our reservations for space 181 at Mardons RV. This area is reserved for the slow boats and old farts and limited to less than 470 cu.ins. (aka, slow and old)....

Labor Day weekend at Potholes. Be there!

The lake can get a little dicey for the non-jet crowd, there are some shallow spots.

That looks so fun, I didn't know anything about east of the hills. Do any other gatherings happen? I need to get out there this summer, western Wa. sucks for hotboats (speed limits, noise, etc.), not that I'm fast, just loud. Oh, sorry about the H-boat reference.

    Default Labor Day

This was the first big boat event we went to last year and we had a blast! The wife didn't want to leave she was having so much fun. This year we already have resv at Mardon Campground. If you can get ahold of them, tell them your with the Skagen bunch, and they will put us all together. We have a large group of campsites spoken for already. Even if you don't camp, come out for the day! LOTS of awesome boats and lots of racing! The more the better.

Yup, Paul nailed it. We'd been there previous years with a much smaller group and had a ton of fun and now that it's grown to the size it has, we can't wait. I 'm draggin the 34' vacation condo and Jan will be following me draggin the boat behind her. We'll look like the Clampets pulling into camp......

Yup, the whole Clampet clan will be there. All 50 or 60 of us!! Hopefully there will be the "later in the evening" engine fire up in the campsite again
Suprised you guys didn't get kicked out for that one.

I think LiquidHotRod aka Jeremy and Emily2 said there were still lots of tent spots open at Mardon if anyone wants one.

But like others said, even if you come for a day you'll have a blast.

Now, if only we could get Skagen to get some t-shirts and stickers made by then....hmmmm.....
