Default 26 Cobra Venom or 27 Laveycraft Sabre?

Just sold my Laveycraft after owning for the past 10 years. Ready to move to a Cat. Currently have 2 lined up one being a Lavey the other a Cobra with both being about the same price. Heart is telling me Lavey, but really like the look of the Cobra. riding in both this Friday. Would appreciate any feed back if anyone has owned or is familiar with either boat.

Cobra specs: 2006 - 26 Venom 496 (stock) closed bow, hydraulic steering nice upgrades 193 hrs very clean!
Lavey specs: 2005 - 27 Sabre Cat 525, CMI headers, Gibson tips, upgraded drive, hydraulic steering, open bow 197 hours very clean!

I have a 2003 venom, we tried alot of boats before we bought it and nothing came close to it for the money. hyd steering is a definite , the boat just needs more power. switched from the 496 to a Boostpower 596ci 700hp and it loves it. I also added trim tabs to get out of the hole easier plus they act as swim steps. no other boat looks like the cobra venom. We get alot of looks with the boat, wouldn't change it for anything.

The Cobra is a great looking boat. The Lavey IS a great boat! Do you wanna look it, or be it.

Thanks for the feed back! My buddy ended up keeping his Lavey, so I bought the Cobra. I actually spent allot of time with both boats including test driving at all speeds in chop and windy conditions. Both did extremely well! Between the 2 I enjoyed the Cobra a bit more and the way it felt in the chop as compared to the Lavey. I felt more chatter on the hull of the Lavey. As far as power, hands down the Lavey because it had the 525. Overall I give both boats a big thumbs up, I felt either boat would be a good choice.
