Question Big and Little Boat bash in the NW? Maybe someday

It'd be fun if someday one of these NW events was set up so all performance boats could get together.
NWoffshore.com and Caleb have put on a great event called the Performance Boat Rendevous that isn't limited to any particular size boat but since it's saltwater, the Jets and V-drive boats shy away.

As it is, it appears that we have many well attended events around the area but are unfortunately most are size dependent (ie...big water big boat, shallow water small boat).

It would likely need to be close to I-5, have a sandy beach, some potential smoother water for the smaller boats yet have some open water for the big dogs to run.

Maybe the Columbia would fit the bill.....never boated there

    Anyhow, food for thought............john

jrork- c'mon down for the Portland poker run. Not sure what size boat you run, but I have done it a several times in a 22 and 20 and 23. Depends on conditions though...I hate being crippled to 80mph.
You are welcome to come party at the Outlaw get together too.

Thanks guys. As Malcolm mentioned this gang is pretty much between 18' and 21' v's and tunnels. Any long poker runs are probably out for most as we're limited to fuel capacity and limited freeboard. With that said, if there was a site that afforded both big boats and little boats a place to stretch their legs, I think it'd be a ton of fun.

The Columbia has several places that would fit the bill. The back side of Govt. Island we can all get to. We used to go there when I had my little Daytona. I still frequent the area in this boat though. There is a boatramp close(Chinook Landing) and the main chanel is just around the island. We would love to have you guys down.

    Default Moses Lake

I was talking to jork this winter and i suggested going to moses lake to cascade park for an event. the other place would be clarkston wa. there is lots of water there where the big boats and small boats could show their stuff. chief timothy park is an island with some really great camping with lots of shade it is only about 3 or 4 miles into town. this location would work best in late summer or early fall because before july 4th there is quite a bit of trash in the water from spring run off and there is 3 rivers that feed into the lewiston clarkston valley. i use to live there and have many great memory's of boating there.
