We're heading to the dunes this weekend, anybody else have any sand toys? Couple Teryx's, and a 2 Jeeps so far in our group.

Yeah, hopefully be a bit better this weekend. I'm just going to Hotel it this time, travel trailer is parked at Billy Chinook. Cost as much in fuel to go get it and take it back, as it would be to get a room.
    What do you ride/drive?

AC Prowler and a DS650X Can-Am, you ride at the lake much? We have a nice 70 mile loop we do all the time over there.

Only about 4 times so far. Will be riding a lot this summer though!
We ride with Don Bliss, Cliff, Steve from PPB, Gary Louden etc.
Last ride was to the fire lookout.
3 of us have acreage in Forest Park, you guys got a place over there?

I do have a place in Rim park that I bought 18 years ago and love it! We go over maybe twice a month year round.

FYI, there is a part time land owner at the air strip behind The Chinook village Store that is in the last phase of getting ALL of the riding closed in the area. How he has done it we don't know, but we are holding a land owners meeting in Rim Park on April 22, 2009 at 9:00 am with the county and state to try and stop it. If you want to keep your riding rights you should voice your opinion soon!

I know Steve and Don just bought sxs's so you might want to pass it on.

Dan- What are the points this guy is focusing on? We would like to be as prepared as possible. I am absolutely going to be there, and if Don and his group don't know yet, they will today. What is his name, or is there a proposal # or something we can look up?

Here is all of the info I have, call Ann Roberts with the National Grass lands (541)-416-6447 and it's called the "Westside stewardship project".

Two weeks ago I received a voting ballet, map and letter that supposedly when out to eighty land owners, so far I am the only one I know that got this info! Did you or Steve get it? I'm willing to bet that everyone on the air strip got it. Sounds a little one sided Huh?

This douche bag pushing this issue comes from Cali up here for three months in the summer and has no problem getting right in your face if he can stop you on a trail

If you talk to her get her email address and send it to me so we can pass it on to other owners and try and stop this crap. In the mean time if I get time I will get her address and pass it on to you.

WOW thanks for the information. I just got off the phone with Steve. Nobody has received any ballot. WTF crap are they trying to pull?
I took the 22nd off, will be there Tues. night, and I'm sure Steve and Cliff will too. Maybe we can meet at your place and discuss last minute stuff?
I called and left a message with Ann to fax me all her info. and e-mail.
I will PM you privately to discuss our rebuttal and negotiation ideas.
I doubt their plan would affect Three Rivers inside their boundaries, but everyone there also rides the trails so getting Don Bliss involved will help us as he is on the board I believe. Steve is calling Don today.
    to be continued....

Found her e-mail and the proposal via google. Here is e-mail I sent..
    Ann,

I recently became aware of this proposed project. Neither I, nor any of the several other landowners I have spoken to
have received any ballot or information regarding this. I left a voice message for you earlier today, requesting ballots to be faxed if possible, and my contact phone number.

Mike this is getting more and more weird by the day! the link you have above is not what were looking for, so I called the Grasslands general number in madras yesterday because this Ann Roberts will not return calls or emails and the lady I spoke with knew about the letter, map and ballot but would NOT send me a copy? and says it's not avail. for download on the web, says she will have Ann call me back! WTF

I suggest every one call the madras office and demand a ballot!
