Default DESERT STORM DREAMING in CDA

So.......... this is what it looks like outside my door right now.

    Seriously.............. WTF?
    It was 70 last weekend.

    A buddy sent me text the other night and it read;

"Do you realize that in 4 months it's September?"

This boating season is going to be short this year.
On the bright side, look at all the money I'll save on fuel...

Don't be so hard on yourself Jim. It is only going to be over a 100 degrees this FRI-SUN in Havasu and probably the best show that lake has ever seen.

    Mike,

Thanx for the "heads-up" on that.
Certainly makes for a long week(end) for me.

    Have fun!

    (Just Kidding)

That's the thing with this area..

The summers are so nice it's hard to pull out, even more so when you've got kids, soccer, school, etc. etc. If I could have it my way, we'd spend summers here and winters down south. Just not in the cards at this point.

I started coming up to CDA about 20 years ago. Seems to me your summers are getting longer. I remember several 4th of July's it was C O L D
I mean too cold to ski without a wetsuit. Started waiting till August to come up and sometimes that wasn't long enough..........we were skyskiing as early as may last year and up till September

We've had some great summers and usually do.
I think the water is gonig to stay a little on the cool side this year with all the snow pack/run-off we'll have but should warm up eventually.

More then anything right now, I just want to see the sun for more then a day. It feels like this winters has gone on forever.

When I lived in CDA back in the we had a couple of long winters, but I think this year has been the longest. I loved it there in the Summer, but there just wasn't enough of for this CA native.

Seems to me that for many years it rained on the 4th. Last Summer, the 4th was incredible.

However, just as I was docking the boat for the 1st time at the place I rented at Windy Bay on June 30th, a mini tornado about carried my Son and I away. Next day going into town, trees were snaped off all over the place. Crazy weather.

Crazy at times, that's for sure...

All in all, not so bad. Not to mention the lake is bad ass.
