    Cool Sundance Bar in Parker

Growing up at the river I remember watching the skiers drop off at Bluewater like nothing and blitzing up the river to go to sundance even though we were to young to drink,it was the place to be. When we were old enough, it was the first stop into Parker. Every time I blast past the sorry remnant that remains I can only tell my kids about the hay days out there or break out super 8 movies of the way it was. Is anybody ever going to buy that place and put her back on the water ?

If you should decide to digitize your 8mm film and put it on utube, I am sure many would like to see it. I know I would.....

My buddies dad knows the old man who owns it and has tried to buy the land many times to make it homes. Apperently the guy is loaded and doesnt need or want the money. I was told the building is a total loss its had a fire inside and is thrashed. I think is that a bar thar size just isnt that profitable. Id assume one of the reasons it raged so hard in the 70s was due to the drinking age at the time in parker.

I hadnt been to that section of the river for about 24 years. Sad to se what that place had become considering how it used to RAGE way back when. RoadRunner does pretty good still(in season). But like most thing it is a seasonal business around there.

Let me get through the 4th of July weekend and i'll start on it. I've got some great skiing footage starting from the docks at bluewater blowing past all the bars and ending up at Sundance

For many years, my family and I drove past Sundance on the way to Havasu, and when on the river. I always planned on my first drink at 21 being consumed there but it went under before I could. I wish it would reopen just to take that off the bucket list.

Checked it out on the holiday river trip, Supposed to be open on Memorial Day weekend. I gotta wonder if it can stay alive. It sure as hell can't get back to the 70s

I was poking around Sundance today and ran into Nick, he was the one running the wet t shirt contest and cruising for chicks in the pontoon boat back in the day. They are going big time on the renovation. Big time stage for bands, not to mention the prep for awesome food. The docks are looking good now too. I asked if they were gonna just do up the main bar, he told me everything is coming back. They are shooting for a Memorial day opening. I think it is gonna be one hell of a party.
