    Default Lake Powell

Thinking about heading down from Idaho for a week the end of September. Anyone down there got any tips on where to camp with the boat and good spots to explore? Anyone welcome to join in too!

I may be down middle of september. I will probably be on lone rock beach. My least favorite is bullfrog....that bay gets too nasty for a small boat. Escalante is kewl....and its narrow enough in most places it couldnt blow hard enough to matter. My buddy likes antelope....I have never been there.

I'll be there in mid September but can't help you with beach camping info... The wife's idea of camping is being on the houseboat

A bad day of boating is still better than a good day at work!

Just got back last weekend and there were alot of sand beaches.IMO the most i have seen in a while. There were a few nice ones near escalante, alot in back of padre bay and a few here and there in between.

What made it great was the water is 30 ft lower than last year at this time and alot of bushes got washed away. combined with the fast dropping water
