    Default shockwave or cobra ???

looking at a used 2004 or 2001 21 step skier from shockwave which i really like but a little more than i want to spend right now....the 2004 is 23k and the 2001 21k ive talked to bob and really like his honesty and great customer service... and heard a lot of good things about shockwave ... but ive also been looking at this 2002 210 copperhead cobra boat its really clean, beautiful cond. and its only 17k

so just want to hear input on cobra boats ....... and which would you choose ???

    I disagree

Have a buddy that bought a new Shockwave and it was a nightmare, lawsuits & tons of bullshit. Only 1 experience, but enough for me personally. Had a serious hook with a few other issues.

I have a 04 Cobra, bought it used in 07 and love it. No issues at all.

Go with the Cobra I bought an new Shockwave and had nothing but problems took it back 3 times and Bob was not able to fix it. It seemed like every time it was in to be repaired they did not start working on it till I was on my way to pick it up, finally had an shop in Havasu fix the problem. Have had wiring problems with the boat since day one and have had to deal it myself.

This past season was our first with Cobra 280 Python and we are hooked. Plenty of storage and extremely happy with performance. 9 people,2 tanks full and 80 all day (safely). Buy a Cobra.

They're pretty much the same hull. I owned a Shockwave 21 Skier with a 454/jet and enjoyed it. My buddy had a 21' Cobra and it was built a lot better than my Shockwave. I wanted to buy it from him but the timing was off for me. I ended up finding a closed bow Ultra with a 502 and really enjoy my boat. I knew someone with a closed bow Ultra XS and really admired the look of his boat. I wouldn't rule out Ultra. When searching for my current boat Ultra, Cobra and Shockwave were the only brands I was interested in based on my budget.

Shockwave has always treated me well, Bob and Co. are top notch and I have never had any issues with them. They build a really nice boat and I will probably try to always stick with them. There is a reason that they have survived when a lot of the other builders have gone out of business.
