Hey guys. I was out of the boating scene for a while and just got back in. Bought an 2005 Carrera 257 Party Effect. So, the water level at the Martinez/Fishers area fluctuates a lot from time to time. If it is too low, I can't launch at Fishers because the trailer falls off the end of the ramp. If it is too high, there are no sand bars for kids and dog to play. Either way, I'd like to know ahead of time what the current levels are.
Is there a resource that publishes current water levels. I have seen the website that shows flow, but I have a hard time understanding the data.
Maybe we could start a thread that could be updated by boaters that were out that day to discuss the current water levels. Obviously levels change quickly, but typically the levels are either high or low for several days at time.
I'm sure many of you were already aware of this website, but I didn't know what the numbers meant. When we were out this past Saturday, the water levels were low allowing all the sandbars to be exposed providing for great conditions to find sand to party on. If you look at the Martinez lake water elevation, the water level averaged 184.78. So, if you see anything near that, you know the water level is down. Bureau of Reclamation: Lower Colorado Region
