Default The official TAF's boat is operational, finally

I met SKM, Squirtnmyload and Cave at Saguaro Sat. I put a couple hours on the newly rebuilt motor. Kyle was ill and unable to join us. I was so glad that at the end of the day no one had to tow me in We ran into Bubba and Keith on the back beach. Unfortunately as I drove home , I observed the cops had some others I met at the back beach pulled over on Ellsworth rd. I started to pull over to help if they had mechanical problems, but one of the officers waved me on and then I realized it might be a DUI stop. I hope all made it through safely.

First and foremost I must thank Kyle for his time, knowlege, bloodied knuckles, running around town finding gaskets and such. He rebuilt the motor w/ a little bit of my help. Cave and KapsuleKid helped me tear down the motor in the beginning, Rocket98 helped me put rings on the pistons as well as some help on the interior. I hope Kyle can join me and KapsuleKid this weekend at the lake 2 put a couple more hrs on it.

Again, thank you very much Kyle! I can't wait to see your V-drive hit the water.

78 eliminator was that you in the white tunnel with blue flames?

Rob it was killer seeing you out there. Boat sounds killer. I still think you need to jet up or at least get a pyrometer on that deal so you'll know when its time to let up. I know its all good.

TAF Let me know if you head out Saturday. I may be able to go too if I get the new fuel pump in by Friday. I need to get some speed runs in. Without that trick with the fishing wire tied to the gonads and lead foot.

I thought everyone knew or I or you were just way too wasted that it never came up for discussion. I can't wait to hit Parker again soon. Wheeler was w/ me that Fri when I F'd up and ran one tank out and the other pump wasn't working. I'll make a point to bring one of 4 pistons I torched next time. Maybe you or RD could make an ash tray for your / his river house out of one?

Good meeting you out there. I didn't stay long, but I got a couple runs in while I could. Next time hopefully I will have more time and your trailer will be all done. How did it turn out?

    Thanks Rob ,
No i've been hiding out i have been sick since the weekeend got some medicine from the doc on tuesday and supposed to be feeling better by thursday but i'll say friday. Glad it worked out for ya, just remember you've only begun to break in the new rings and pistons.

FYI for anyone that thinks this was a simple build, incorrect. The timing chain was able to slip and advance under and out of load, four piston gone, of the two melted through. All new pistons didn't just slide on the were within .003 thou. and had to be honed to fit. File to fit a whole new ring set, and other deals, but to be short the twin turbo lines and setup are absolutely amazing and a labrinth of lines that common sense just can't fathom.

But glad she runs, and ya i'll go as long as i ain't sick, im hurtin
