Default What hotel do you stay at that you can trust your boat at overnight?

I'm looking to take my new baby to the Colorado River and am nervous about overnight parking. Any suggestions on where to stay and where to avoid. Id like to play at Mojave Lake, The River from Needles South, or Havasu depending on the safest place for the boat at night, thanks.

What kind of boat you got and where are you coming from?

Also...when is your trip planned for?

Just rent a slip at Katherines Landing......Keep it in the water at night and they do have security. There is always a chance something could happen though.

You could stay right at KL in their hotel. Not the greatest accomidations but will do the job. You could also stay in one of the casinos.

If you were traveling half way accross the states I was maybe going to offer my driveway as a place to put your boat at night.

I'd say one of the casinos in Laughlin. Most have 24hr security and patrol the parking lots.

Second that. Left my boat in the water at KL last year based on Tom's advice and everything worked out great. Don't think I'd stay at the hotel there though...it was pretty seedy looking, but the casinos are only 5 min. away.

London Bridge for a hotel newbie or the Islander for a detached housing experience. Both are very centrally located on / in Lake Havasu City. Bring your big wallet though...

I have rented a slip at Katherines landing as well as parked in the parking lot of Harrah's. I have left the boat full of beer, food, ropes, tubes, pumps, wakeboards(foolishly) at both and have been lucky enough not to have anything stolen. I have emptied the boat out, disconected the trailer and left it in the parking area with a tounge lock at katherines landing and have also had no problems(luckily). I sold that boat and have a far less valuable kachina jet boat now and will be even less skeerd about leaving it. good luck.... If your going between april 2nd and 5th, ill watch it for you!
