    Default Thru Hull Exhaust.........

Hey guys on my carrera 20.5 elite, exhaust goes out thru the prop.....whats involved with changing that to exit out the back under my swim steps, or is it too much work. Im not to concerned with trying to gain power, more of a sound thing..........

Take off the yoke, and put on the block off plate, easy. Then go to the back and tape off the area that the tips will be. With masking tape you will be able to mark it better than on the gel, if you don't like it start over. Leave the tape on when you drill the hole out with a hole saw. Treat the newly exposed wood, install new through hull tips. Go to Bergeron, grab a new jar of vasoline, and bend over. He should have the exhaust hose in the parts room on the south end of the office. He might have the block off plate as well and I.m sure he can "hook you up" with the new tips as well.

If ya need help call Cave, it looks like he knows his way around a bilge, since he's been in his all spring. Oh I slay me.

You might give REX a gingle I'm sure he has them as well.

Oh yea, keep the yoke for the jet boat guy's. They use them to play horse shoes, they need all of the advantage they can get.

No, all you are doing is re-routing the exaust. The water will still come out the riser and then straight out through the tip. Nothing to adjust.

Yes. But the issue that some people have with them is the higth. They have them out of the water at idle, kinda loud. It's up to you, but if you ever have to do a dbl test at idle, they might pop you. For me I would keep them below the water at idle speed.
