    Default Should We?

We are thinking of adding an air compressor to the boat to blow up tubes and rafts. Should it be mounted under the hatch? What size and brand of compressor should I be looking at? How much should I expect to spend?

I'd look into compressors used in automotive airbag suspension applications. A compressor and perhaps even a small tank would certainly make things easier. If your charging system can handle it....
    Here's a few, starting @ $130.

why go with a built in compressor? Seems a bit much for blowing up toys. I have a 12v 1 gallon (?) wet/dry vac that does the same. Comes in real handy when the mid cabin gets soaked or sand is all over the place. Flip the fitting around and you have your blower. Just another idea...

buy one of these at wal-mart for $25 bucks, use alligator clips instead of the cig lighter plug and connect it to your battery; or just add a cig lighter to your boat.

    boatless....

That's like what we use. It takes a few minutes to blow up a big tube, but works just fine for not much $$$$
