    Default Bartlett: your thoughts please?

We are taking the toy hauler and the boat to Bartlett this weekend and I need some info since I haven't been there in 13 years. I have a buddy that took his jet & RV last weekend and had a blast. He will be joining us this weekend also but I wanted to hear from any experts where the best place to "camp" and launch our 28' Silhouette deck boat. Any help is greatly appreciated with where to "camp" and hang out on the lake. Thanks. Rob

Be careful and take plenty of gas. It's like the Twilight Zone, you get there and start running around, next thing you know your on empty.

Thanks. My buddy camped to the left of the launch ramp as you're looking at the water last weekend and said it was pretty good. He could leave his jet boat on the trailer in the water over-night. I won't be able to do that. Does the lake drop at night like Saguaro/Canyon? I'm not sure where the flats or SB Cove are? Our boat holds 50 gallons but I will bring a few extra 5 gallon cans just in case. We will have a few carts to run around with while at the campsite. If any of you are around, stop by and have a beer.

New to these forums, but I can honestly say I had a great time at Bartlett the one and only time a month ago with BOTH my boats there. Gonna try it again a few times this summer. haven't hit Pleasant yet, but I hear the Cove is the place to wreak havoc (Particularly with my Moo boat).

I was told a few years back that you can launch from the beaches but cannot leave your trailer in the water. The rangers can site you for that and will. Tonto pass can be purchased at the ranger station but get them in town just in case...

If you buy gas there, be repaired to wait a long time. The pumps there are set at "PUMP AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE". Took me 30 minutes to pump a few gallons. The store is nice and the help was cool. Ask OutDrive1 about the pumps.

Don't forget to keep this off the boards. Bart may end up like Pleasant with all the TapOut / Ultimate Fighters mobin the beaches

We had a terrible time. That lake sucks. It is a VERY long drive, the weather was horrible, and the people at the marina/gas docks were rude.
I won't be at Saguaro much after this past weekend, but don't tell anyone!!

Actually the pumps are pumping very fast again. When we were there I filled up 30 Gallons in just a few minutes.

If it wasn't for all the gang bangers there the lake would be a nice place to hang out at

yah the one time i was there all the people that were in sb cove were total arse holes and especially the old guy that was dancing and those damn jet boats were so loud some lady started making her own noises to try and over do the jets but she wasnt quite loud enough. then there were those guys that stayed up all night around a camp fire telling stories and playing music real loud

one of my worst trips ever

oh and some damn guy had a whacker that he thought was fast and just kept getting his ass handed to him all day long right at the buoy line

that lake was full of rude and inconsiderate people and it was the last weekend in february

wait i think i have a pic of the guy dancing and then one of the following morning (hello randy) haha

Everything worked out. Its was rumored that there was a couple of incidents but I didn't see either of them. Like with any big family get together, with alcohol, things happen.

Rick, said Female Started all the Dancing. Well Maybe Randy help

    That Guy had some moves

Ya see. Bart is a bad place to boat.
