    Default Sahuaro Lake Anyone

Has anyone been to Sahuaro lately? I'm wondering how the water is since Pleasent is so full of runoff garbage. I need somewhere to go next week.

Clean all the way to the back no wake zone. Lake level is high. Not to many people out so it made for allot of full throttle runs.

FYI if you go to the back near sandy beach there is no flowing water so debris has filled the channel. It was 1 foot deep where people usually dive off the rock across the channel from the beach. We got one of the boats stuck and had to dig it out a couple weeks ago.

Was there yesterday, on the main lake, didn't go to the back, but the channel was good, level was up. It was real windy, about 3:30 PM wind setteled and water got nice, Caleb made a couple of good runs. Not very many civilians, all in all, a good day at the lake.

I was there too. the beach was killer. The weather was nice the water was cold. Billy I floated the 21 right over that spot were they jump off the rocks. I didn't get hung up. The Fountains that putted through there first did OK too

Old Flat were on of the two hot rods just inside the no wake zone towards the back?

I might add that the lake was at 100% capacity when we got stuck in the deep part of the channel on a Saturday. Maybe they let some water out since then to clear the channel. Just be careful, thats all I'm saying.

Thanks for the heads up billy. The beach area has always been sketchy after a good rain. We cruised in after the big boats. I figured if the big ones can plow through I could just float over the channel the may have created.

Heres the deal with Saguaro. Once its full they turn you around. If your not there before 7-8:30am you stand a good chance of sitting in the overflow. But the Bass boaters leave at all hours. 5 boats leave 3 get in. In Summer its more like 10 boats leave 8 get in.

There is a small beach area on the North West side but the Jet Skis usually take that over. Echo is just before the channel but can get crowded Just past the channel there are beaches in the coves. Then theres the beach in the back, Sandy Beach. I like it there. There wasn't much of a beach on Sunday prolly 40 yards wide. And everyone trying to fit in. Water is ruff if the wakers take over the water. The channel boils. But its nice early am and late afternoon.

probably more negatives than positives but its close to me. I get up for work at 4am so getting there early isnt a problem. Leaving there sucks but entertaining. Lots of New Tahoe & Pontoons from Bass Pro shop sales. My Kachina sits lower than any Place craft. But I would never turn the motor off while on the water. 2' waves pop out from nowhere. But if you have a freeboard challenged boat you know this is just part of the lifestyle.

We stayed up by the ramp inside the no wake, due to the wind, when we went to test we would make some passes toward the east. We bailed about 4:30 PM or so, we were the noisy blue & white one, give us a holler when you see us.
