It's the dollar signs, that's all. Sux I know, but that's the way they play, so then they have wiggle room to plea bargain and still get a fine/commission outta you.
    Good luck!

Hey man, good luck. You need to get some info on outboard boats, jet boats, and vdrives. Have it state how the outboards don't roost, at least like a get, or high horse power vdrive.

    Default and this statement

On Saturday July 4, 2009 at approximately 11:30am just below Coors Island on the lower Colorado River I was pulled over for my rooster tail. At first I did not have any idea why I was being pulled over when Sgt. Herrera asked me “Do you know why you are being pulled over” I replied “No” he then told me that I had my jet-o-vator up while other boats were in the area. I replied “Sir I do not have a jet-o-vator since I have an outboard motor on my boat.
He then did a routine check of my safety equipment, registration and ran my drivers license to check if I had any warrants which I do not. He then asked me if I had been drinking I replied “No” and then he proceeded to explain to me why a jet-o-vator was illegal when other boats are within a specific distance of your boat. I once again replied I do not have a jet-o-vator since I have an outboard motor on my boat. He then told me that he saw me turn my rooster tail on when I pulled in front of Russ Krauss, who was following me in order to stay clear of on coming boats and to keep from hitting sandbars. He told me there is a law that prohibits the use of a rooster tail when there is another vessel within 60’ of the rooster tail, Russ was much farther behind me then 60’ due to the known knowledge that boats do not have breaks and it is not safe to follow so close behind. Sgt. Herrera said “your buddy” Russ was within 60’ of your rooster tail which I do not see how it was possible to tell when Sgt. Herrera was a minimum of 300 yards down river from us when I saw his lights turn on.
I have provided numerous pictures to compare the “Prop Wash” my boat has compared to the Place Diverter or “Jet-o-vator” which can only be found on a jet boat. A jet boat is propelled from a jet of water that is picked up in the middle of the boat and ran through a cylinder looking tube with an impeller inside which forces the water out of a small opening in the back of the boat. A Place Diverter is the “trim” of the jet boat in order to lift the bow of the boat, similar to the trip of an outboard motor yet the Place Diverter shoots a very strong and large amount of water into the air at a high rate of speed.
My prop wash is caused by the height of the motor being mounted which is crucial to the Eliminator Daytona Hull which is an air entrapment hull. This motor height is important in order to keep these boats safe when running and to minimize the chance of “blow over” which is caused by the motor being trimmed too high and the boat flipping over. The prop wash is caused by a small top part of my prop actually coming out of the water and tossing a small sprinkle of water in the air for approximately 10’ while a jet-o-vator can shoot water up to 100’ or more. This ventilation of my prop is also crucial do to the way the boat motor and prop all work together to keep the boat running safely and correctly.
