    Default mechanic

Joe Martin built our new 502 and services it all the time. He is amazing with BBC and works on a ton of really high end stuff(not that mine is even close to high end). His # 602-451-5776. Tell him Rob Clarke sent you, he will probably charge you double!!

I've know Joe for 20+ years. I guess all the cig's are catching up with him. His health isn't all that any more. He loves to build engines, thats his passion. You can tell him I sent you too.

I don't know really but I think it's in the timing, valve lash somewhere. I'm tired of messing with it. Maybe the guuy that origanally built it didn't degree the cam??

The guy I bought it from in CA built it. I have emailed and asked but all I ever got was a parts sheet. It seemed to run good the first time I took it out but I didn't run top end do to a really banged up prop and a growling vdrive. I have since fixed the box and had the prop rebuilt. Really lays down on me and hits a wall at 4800 rpms now.

Yeah Cave, I tried that. It lays down big time. It has to be something in the timing/ electronics. Cam is good to 7200 and I have a 7K limiter.

Jangles how sure are you its not the carbs or water in the fuel? I once spent a crap load of money to find out I had water in my fuel. I ended up with a new MSD dizzy, AL6 box and new Taylor plug wires before I drained the fuel tanks.

Yes that's him. He used to buy from the napa on univercity and perry ln. He started at Curry and snottsdale rd. He was next to the boat barn. Then went from there to Curry and McKlintock along with the boat barn. Then Pat got stupid and lost the boat barn, so Joe went south of univercity and opened up his own repair shop, Halderman Marine. He sold out to Mike and went to work at AZ Speed and Marine, he just wanted to build motors. Then he went to some dealer on the west side and did mobile work for them. He's a good guy, but smokes like a ford.
