    Mike,

I'm sure you'll find something! You should check www.craigslist.org , www.monster.com, www.azjobs.com, www.hotjobs.com... If you need some help getting your resume' together let me know and I'll help.

In the meantime, I was thinking about how we could dump those cards I have and each make some money. If you have the time to drive to a few places and get rid of these things, we could make a couple of G's each. I have 4500 of them left, so let me know.

    Later,

    Keith

Just moved to Tempe area in April due to my wives promotion.
Didn't find a job until August.
I spent all day everyday searching the job boards (careerbuilder, Monster, and the countless others).
One thing I will warn, many of those sites have false ads for jobs that don't actually exist, but instead are a veiled advertisement for you to request info on schooling, or specialized training. I will say, this is only my opinion, but I'm a pretty good judge. I mistakenly answered a question that requested school info on one application, and I promptly received a phone call within twenty minutes, and then another the next morning at 5:15am, and another around 9:00, and another...
The job I found was originally listed on Craigs list, but it still required some cold calling, and walking in to places.
I don't put a lot of faith in the job boards, and I don't put any faith in the temp to hire services.
You have to hit the street, and knock on doors.
Also, don't think you can find everything on the internet. The old yellow-pages gave me a few other places to try in my field that I hadn't found on the I-net.
I have a job now, and I can't say it's my dream job, or even as good as the job I left. But, my wife and I made this decision as the best for us.
I'm just glad to be back to work.
It's tough out there, and right now the people hiring are looking for a lot more out of a potential employee, and offering a lot less in compensation/benefits. Trickle down of the economy crash. It's not the time to try to be heavy handed in a wage negotiation unless you are currently employed. I found it hard to even get interviews to jobs that I knew I didn't want, but was willing to do just to generate some income.
Good luck in the search, PM me if you want to meet for a beer and I'll tell you what I've learned in this - Hell, I'm looking to make some friends, what, being new to the area and all.

A co worker went to Bud for an interview. He gets done with it and they tell him that they have no positions available. Why call a person in to go through the interview, then tell him there is no job?? Budweiser has been know to age dicriminate, just look at the driver the next time you see one. Not to mention they are part of the McCain camp and you have to vote Republican.

Employers are realy jerking the chains these days, because the knoe they can. It will turn around and they will be back kissing ass and giving away the world to get people to work for them.
