yeah, theres a market all right.. but its kinda flooded as it is, not to burst your bubble or anything but phoenix has a few pretty big places as it is, and it's just always tough to get your name out there, especially at first

IF your good, and have the start up capital (times are tough right now) there's a need. Shaffers in Phoenix is seeing rough times but surviving. There a good size welding shop. They will weld anything big or small. Fab to spec.

If you already have clients from where your shop is now it would make it a whole lot easier on your wallet.

There is a need if you actually are at the shop and want to actually do the work and not just take the money! I have found, like in the fiberglass industry welding shops are full of lazy flakes that want to retire on the first project.

Saguaro Lake is full of aligators and snakes. :-)

I don't get to go there as much as I would like.

There are plenty of lakes around here. Not sure how good the market is but, the cost of living, rent, taxes, etc has to be much less than where you are.
here is a really good website that gives all sorts of info about most any town in the US.
Good luck with whatever you do.

it's a puddle. with jet boats sitting on the bottom of it. If you go in the early am you can make a couple of quick runs, but then you need to head to the back and hide from the big waves. Plenty of stupid people in water plowing ski boats.

people like that have given small shops a bad name out here which made things harder given the current state of the economy

Up on the rim, nice and cool in the summer. It's about 2.5 hours away, four lanes most of the way. I don't ride, but I work with some that do. Just north of that "sag" lake is a spot and several more heading up into the moutains, it's just hot as hell in the summer. It's nothing like the dunes, and still has it's fair share of people dumping trash all over the place.
