Default Sad day on the Eastside

I just recieved a phone call with some bad news. Troy( ONERADFLAT) passed away yesterday around 2pm. From what i gather troy has been fighting cancer for sometime and he couldnt fight it anymore. Troy was a great guy and will be missed on the eastside. I still remember the very first day i met him. Was the first time i put my boat in the water 6 years ago this summer. Troy, i know your looking down reading this, you were a great man and an awesome part of the eastside crew. You will be missed.

I dont have details on services yet. Vince will be here in the next few day to let all of us know. Troy only had TOM ( with the fountian) and his mother out here. I Hope that most of the crew can attend his services when there announced.

GOD SPEED TROY YOU WILL BE MISSED!

Just talked to jay at mhp they were good friends. Jay just built his new motor for his boat that he just got going again i believe after 4 years. I talked with troy many times and laughed and joked with him at jays shop just before the power tour in yuma. He was a great person to be around and could always have you laughing with his pesonality. God speed troy you are going to be missed for sure from the gonzales family are prayers go out to all family and friends of troy

Troy was always upbeat and full of life at the beach. He was a friend to everyone that wanted to share the beach. Troy will truly be missed. It's a ssad day indeed.

I'll never forget my last ride with Troy/Tom blasting Poison all the way in

Troy always had my back when I wanted to give Tom a hard time about doing "Fly Bys" and nearly swamping my boat. He was a hell of a guy.

Ty, Please PM me Tom's number, I would like to tell him how I feel.

    Default Troy

Talked to Tom earlier today. He just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and for being there on this sad day. Tom will be calling me as soon as they figure out what's going on with the services.

Troy will be missed. He always had a smile on his face, and was always in the mix. Very cool dude he was. Had no clue he was going through this. "God Bless You Troy"

    I'll talk you all soon.

    Vin

So, this is what has gone down today. I have got ahold of troys brother and sister in law in florida and there is something in the works over the next 2 weeks that involves the lake and some of his family. He made a statement to his step dad about the lake and i believe that his family wants to do something for him there. I will keep you guys posted. I know it would mean the world to him if you all got together one last time for him and his favorite place.

Man what a shock. Like I posted in Big Erns thread, Troy will be missed. Fitting to have something at the Lake Ty. It was tough writing programs today. Seams like we were BSing about his Shiny Flat last weekend. More like 2 weeks ago. All of my conversation with Troy always ended with "get that boat done" He did. His to me were keep that motor together and hold up 3 fingers. One for ever build this year.

Guna really miss his happiness at the Sag.

Thanks Vin and Tyro for getting the Info.

Rest in Peace Troy! I tilted one back at the lake for you today. Needed some alone time and thought there was no better way to regain my mind set, then to sit on the beach and have one for Troy.

Vin-Dog, please let us all know when the services are going to be! I think the East Side should roll our boats to his services. It would be a great final goodbye for one of our own!

Troy if your looking down brother, we are all going to miss you!

    RIP

Troy will be missed by all, especially His Best friend Tom, who was the only one who knew what Troy was going through. Troy made Tom swear he wouldnt tell anybody, because he didn't want anyone to feel sorry for him. One Class act, as you could tell, how much pride he had just by looking at his boat. He spent 4 plus years puting it back together, and didn't take it out until it was perfect. I thank the Lord he got to take it out a couple times and enjoy it before he passed. He's in good hands now
my Friend Joe will take good care of him. Its been a pleasure knowing you Troy
    Your friend Jay

I don't beleive I ever met him, unless he's the blonde guy holding the mug! And that sounds like truly my loss. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends!

    From Rita

    Hi all!

    Sad day's for sure!

Hi, I'm Rita aka Rita Roo or as Troy called me "Roooooster or Seeeeester" from Arizona!
I am not a member of this group and just signed up to introduce myself, extend and share my sympathy’s with all of you in the passing of all of our dear friend Troy.

I had the pleasure of knowing Troy for about 8 years now and I loved him like a brother and this is very hard as we all know death is never easy. We can only be comforted knowing what an honest and true man Troy was and let his spirit live within us.

Troy blessed everyone he came into contact with, that was his natural gift as a son, brother, friend and as the wonderful man he was. He was sooo loved by many and he touched everyone in a special way. I’m sure he’ll do much more in heaven. I will forever be grateful and blessed for having him as my friend; I am truly honored to have had him a part of my life. All the memories I have shared with him will forever be cherished and remembered. Troy will forever live in my heart… In our hearts!

At this time no services have been planned exactly yet as him Mom/Family are moving very slow and she and Tom wants to let all of you to know they thank everyone sooo much for your thoughts and prayers and support. I will be happy to keep everyone informed of any upcoming services.

Nice to meet you and Thank you all for loving Troy…I miss him…

    : - (

    Rita

I posted a few pic's on my half ass profile that I wanted to share with all of you..Have a blessed day!
