    Default Louisiana Jet Boat Heading to Havasu

    I have recently completed my 79 Haskell that I have been restoring over the past couple of years. It has been a long road to say the least. My plan has always been to restore it and bring it back to the place where this "hot boat" business all started. My brother and I plan to make a trip to Havasu this summer and all the other hot spots in the area.

    I have a couple of questions that hopefully can be answered.

    1. What are the hot spots to see? (keep in mind I am in a 17' jet boat)
    2. What kind of options are there for rentals with a garage?
    3. Are there any places to store a boat for a few days if I decided to head into Southern California? (if I am driving all the way to Arizona then I might as well see the Pacific Ocean too)

    Any imput would be much appreciated. I have dreamed about this for a long time now! I just need to try and sort out the details. Thanks.

    There are tons of vacation rentals here with garages. Take a look on craigslist.

    The lake is big and lots to do, hang on the cruise spot canal near the bridge, the sand bar towards Needles, Copper Canyon but on a busy weekend it gets rough out there so be careful.

    Look me up when you get here, I should have the turbo v-drive out by then.

    First your boat is way too small for havi.on a weekend. I would do Parker "maybe still too ruff" lower river is your best bet. If you do come to cali. you can store your boat at my house or at my storage your.

    I am not sure how much time you plan on being in the area of Havasu with your boat but here is what I think...

    depends on what you are coming to do, lay low or whoop it up... Here are a few things to help you find your way...

    Havasu
    Mellow Monday's - usually a few leftovers from the weekend laying low
    Tequillia Tuesday's - get your game ready for later in the week (moderation is key)
    Week Wednesday's - get back on your feet after the night before
    Feels like Friday on Thursday's - too much rest yesterday, get your game back, happy hour
    First day of the weekend Friday - its only a warm up for saturday, almost there!
    Saturday Madness - this is it, its on! watch for rookies
    Sunday beers taste best! - its nice to relax w/good friends after all the hub bub from the weekend

    Default where to go...

    Havasu;

    the nautical cove (turtle bar)
    channel
    sandbar
    copper canyon
    steamboat
    disneyland

    Needles;

    moabi (pirate cove)
    topock gorge

    Parker;

    I dont go ther much, but with your 17 footer... you should be all over that place. Check out Foxes & Roadrunner. Get lost in the keys, bring RD a CL and have fun!
